Goldie Hawn returns to TV for the first time in years on HGTV's Celebrity IOU

HGTV's Celebrity IOU had a surprise for the fans of actress Goldie Hawn as she made a special appearance in Season 6 Episode 2.

This was unexpected as Hawn has not appeared in a movie or show since The Christmas Chronicles 2, which was released back in November 2020. In this episode, Hawn took the help of The Property Brothers to deliver a special gift to a close friend.

The episode titled Goldie Hawn Goes Overboard for Friend, featured Goldie joining Drew and Jonathan Scott in renovating her close friend Celia's living rooms, and kitchen, and adding a pantry. The synopsis for the episode reads:

"Goldie Hawn goes overboard for her very close friend turned family who has been by her side for four decades. Goldie calls on Jonathan and Drew to help create a stunning transformation of the kitchen and living areas, along with a much-needed pantry."

What was the second episode of Celebrity IOU about?

The evergreen Goldie Hawn appeared in the second episode of Celebrity IOU Season 6 in a blue skinny jeans and sleeveless black top. Holding a hammer in her hand, Hawn appeared more than ready to deliver a surprising home renovation for her close friend, Celia, who she called her "soul sister". Hawn revealed that Celia supported her during the aftermath of her divorce with Bill Hudson.

Sharing a picture in which she can be seen standing between the Property Brothers on her social media accounts, Hawn wrote a heartfelt caption expressing her gratitude towards Celia,

"Tonight’s episode is a celebration of gratitude. After 40 years of love and support, it’s my turn to help create a beautiful space for someone who means the world to me. So grateful to @propertybrothers for making it happen! 🏡❤️ #CelebIOU @hgtv"

Drew Scott also posted a reel in which Hawn can be seen dancing with the brothers on Kendrick Lamar's peekaboo. The reel simultaneously shows the before and after of Celia's home post the renovations.

Throughout the episode, Hawn, a mother of three including John Walker, actor Wyatt Russell expressed her gratitude for being able to work with the Scott brothers to renovate her best friend and soul sister Celia's house. On the other hand, the Property Brothers were also excited to meet Hawn, who is one of Hollywood's legendary actresses.

The First Wives Club actress thanked the Property Brothers for their work while the brothers gifted Hawn a director's chair with her name written on it. This concludes the most recent appearance by Goldie Hawn, the previous one being her Oscars appearance earlier this month.
