Shark Tank mentor Barbara Corcoran shared an Instagram clip on March 17, 2025, revealing her "best advice" for purchasing a house. The Corcoran Group founder was on Fox News's America's Newsroom show alongside Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino.

The female host asked Barbara to share advice from individuals from the "millennial age group" who might be looking to purchase a house nowadays.

"Go for it. Now, there's a couple of hints I could give you, certainly, that make you in a better position and get a good deal. You can shop in the spring market when people are away for spring break. Houses are undersold in that week because nobody's around to sell those houses."

Fans who follow the ABC reality show must know Barbara Corcoran. The female real-estate agent often shares tips and insights about the real estate market and trends. Barbara faced a similar question in one such discussion on Fox News during America's Newsroom show.

When the female host, Dana Perino asked the Shark Tank judge:

"If young people were watching right now and they're anxious to buy a house and it's been difficult for that millennial age group, would you tell them to try to go for it or wait a little bit?"

She responded that individuals should "go for it" and shared insights that can lead towards obtaining a "good deal." As the Corcoran group founder mentioned, purchasing a house in "spring" while most people are on spring back can be beneficial.

Apart from that, she stated that houses were "undersold" during this time because there were not many people around to sell those properties.

"You could also buy a fixer upper, which people are afraid of, but financing on that is readily available, easy to get, and if you can fix a fixer up and you get a better house on a good block," she added.

The discussion highlighted matters such as how mortgage rates have declined for 6th week in a row. Also, as shown in the clip, the data indicated housing costs rising at the "slowest pace" in the last 3+ years.

Listening to the Shark Tank host mentioning "fixer-upper," the male host joked that fixing a fixer-upper when you're "young," you can do it for a "lifetime." Agreeing with him, Barbara stated, "You do it once."
