What happens in Go Ahead, Brother?

After being fired from his job, Oskar finds himself in more trouble when his gambling addict father commits suicide and leaves him, Marta, his sister, and Sylwek, her husband in a huge debt.

They come to know that they owe money to Tomczyk, a loan shark and Marta suggests selling their father’s house to settle as much of the debt as possible. However, Oskar refuses the idea and says that he will come up with some other way of paying Tomczyk back.

Oskar finds himself a job as a security guard in a mall. There, he hits it off with one of the employees, Yeva, who it turns out is Tomczyk’s spy and has been recruited by Tomczyk only to keep an eye on Oskar.

Sylwek, on the other hand, had retained his job on the force and was in the same unit as Oskar. One day Sylwek and the team go on a mission where they find a man named Georgian, dead. They do not know that this has been done by Damian Czorny under the order of Bogden, a gangster who happens to be the boss of the underworld.

Coming back to Oskar at the mall, he finds Grzesiek, Yeva’s boss, doing some kind of tax fraud and keeping aside some money. Given Oskar already finds Grzesiek unpleasant and sees this as a chance of making some easy money, he decides to steal from that man.

Fortunately enough, Oskar meets Grzesiek that very night at his house, which has been turned into a brothel because that is how the debt to Tomczyk is being repaid. Seeing Grzesiek there, Oskar puts a tracker on his car and then follows him to his house.

As Oskar reaches his house and easily neutralizes Grzesiek and his father Mietek, he is attacked by one of Grzesiek’s men and is in a tight spot. However, Sylwek, his best friend and ex-colleague reach in time to save Oskar.

Since Oskar had already told Sylwek that he was going to rob a thief, he did not have to explain much. However, what these two did not know was that this thief, Grzesiek, was not an ordinary person, but the brother of Damian Czorny.

Damian becomes furious coming back home and finding his brother and father hurt. He, however, thinks that Tomczyk is behind this attack because Damian had killed Georgian, with whom Tomczyk was in cahoots.

Does Sylwek survive in Go Ahead, Brother?

After much confusion and death of a few men unrelated to this fiasco, Damian finally figures out that Oskar and Sylwek were responsible for the attack in his house and goes after them.

While Sylwek successfully helps Oskar to take Yeva and Marta to safety, he ultimately gets abducted by Damian. Eventually Oskar also lets himself get caught, so that he can reach Sylwek. While they are tortured by Damian, Sylwek feels like it’s over for them, but Oskar still has hope.

As Damian leaves for a meeting with Bogden, the duo find some respite from his tortures.

As the story draws to a conclusion, a lot of unpredictable things happen as Bogden is shot by his own right-hand man, who is then killed by Damian. Tomczyk, who was also in the meeting, gets shot as well, but manages to escape.

Damian, however, has no sympathy for Tomczyk now and wants him dead. Since he does not want to get his own hands dirty, he asks Oskar to kill Tomczyk and promises to let Sylwek go if Oskar follows his orders.

Seeing no way out, Oskar does kill Tomczyk and his wife, which was really not asked from him.

Keeping his word, Damian frees Sylwek, who reunites with Marta, who has unfortunately lost the baby she was carrying. Yeva and Oskar also get their happy ending, bringing the series to a close.
