What are the plot details and release window of Gangs of London Season 3?
The latest trailer has confirmed that Gangs of London Season 3 will be released in March 2025. The network will announce the exact release date soon.
As with previous seasons, the show will premiere first in the UK on Sky Atlantic, but considering that AMC secured rights for Gangs of London, viewers in the US might also see the new season soon. Considering there was only a month's gap between the UK premiere and the US premiere for Season 2, it can be expected that Season 3 will have a simultaneous US release on AMC+.
The trailer also gives a glimpse of the tension that is about to surface between Joe Cole's Sean and Elliot (played by Ṣọpẹ́ Dirisu), with the former accusing the latter of 600 deaths in the city. You might think Sean is in jail, so how could he commit such a crime but the trailer also hints that somebody has helped him on the inside to escape, which would set off a chain of events and a violent gang war.
How did Gangs of London Season 2 end?
Gangs of London Season 2 had a cliffhanger ending, with Sean's fate uncertain. In the finale of Season 2, he was sentenced for Koba's murder, which eventually led to Elliot assuming top position in the London underworld.
Marian betrayed her sons, which led to Billy losing his arm, which was also an unresolved plot point in Season 2.
The season ending also had a surprising twist that could mean a threat to Sean because Lale is still alive. Earlier in the season, Sean left her to die, and the finale suggests that she has entered into an alliance with Asif, which could be problematic for Sean.
Which cast members will return in Gangs of London Season 3?
