Yellowstone star and Academy Award Winner Kevin Costner will once again be back on the small screen. Yellowstone star Kevin Costner recently confirmed that he will return to Fox Nation as a part of the drama docuseries Yellowstone to Yosemite with Kevin Costner.
The docuseries will retrace the original route taken by former United States President Theodore 'Teddy' Roosevelt along with environmental activist John Muir during their 1903 Yosemite expedition.
Yellowstone to Yosemite with Kevin Costner is a docuseries divided into three episodes and the first episode debuts on February 8, 2025 on Fox Nation. The docu-series forms a part of Fox Nation's America 250 campaign which is on its way to celebrate the two hundred and fiftieeth year anniversary of the United States in the year 2026.
Teddy Roosevelt and John Muir undertook the Yosemite Expedition back in 1903, tracing a historic route that eventually led to the exploration of Indigenous culture in the region, along with sparking landmark debates about environmental conservation.

Kevin Costner opens up about Yellowstone to Yosemite with Kevin Costner
In a recently released statement, Academy Award winner Kevin Costner noted:
"Once in a while, you come across a story that has that truly special mix of elements; it’s stranger than fiction and happens against all odds. It results in something that legitimately changes the world for the good and, most importantly, it all really happened. The story of President Teddy Roosevelt and John Muir’s camping trip through Yosemite is one of those truly special ones, and I’m excited to dig into the next chapter of the preservation of the American frontier.”
In the same vein, Fox Nation President Lauren Peterson added:
"Kevin Costner has a unique ability to capture the American experience and captivate an audience through his extraordinary storytelling. With the enormous success of our first project together, there is no filmmaker that better embodies the spirit of America 250 than Costner.”
Costner served as the executive producer on the drama docu-series which was produced via his Territory Films in conjunction with Rod Lake and Mark Pierce on behalf of co-producing company Warm Springs Productions.
What's the latest buzz about Kevin Costner?
Costner has been fondly associated with the Western genre for a long time now. The last few months have been particularly busy for him as he was involved with the writing and direction of his long-awaited passion project Horizon: An American Saga Chapter 2.
Costner also served as the creator and the producer on this project, which is awaiting it's premiere at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on February 7, 2025.
The entire project consists of four parts, the first of which was released back in June, 2024. Although the first and second parts of Horizon: An American Saga Chapter 2 were shot on a combined budget of about $100 million, the first chapter managed to return less than $39 million in revenue.
Costner was also the leading figure on Taylor Sheridan's Yellowstone, portraying the family patriarch John Dutton III. Despite raking in rave reviews, Costner didn't return for the show's final season. When asked about the future of the flagship show and it's various spinoffs, Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler) had previously stated:
"We will see what happens over the next year or so and we'll see what's next. Hopefully, we can continue to get in people's living rooms and entertain them the way we have over the last seven years. For me, to be able to do that, to educate people, enlighten and entertain them is always the dream."
Yellowstone is exclusively available on Paramount+.
