Friends: 10 Monica-Chandler moments that you can't get enough of

So here's an unpopular Friends opinion: While Rachel and Ross were the show's most popular couple, it was Chandler and Monica who had the most heartwarming moments on the show.

They started out as best friends and ended up being the perfect partners for each other, setting up a couple of goals when it was not even a thing.

So, to relive those moments once again ahead of Valentine's Day, here are the Top 10 Monica-Chandler moments from Friends.

10) The one where Chandler jokingly proposed to Monica in Friends

Remember the episode where Carol was giving birth to Ben? The whole gang was gathered at the hospital to support Ross and his ex-wife; that was when Chandler first jokingly proposed to Monica, who was upset that she didn't have a child or a partner till now.

Chandler saw how upset she was and proposed that if neither of them was married till 40, they get together and have kids, which was a really subtle foreshadowing of their romance.

9) The one with the bubble bath

This is another classic Chandler-Monica moment on Friends, where the two were still very early in their relationship and were not yet out in front of the gang.

When they were spending some quality time in Chandler's bathroom, with a bubble bath and champagne, Joey suddenly popped in the bathroom, asking Chandler if he wanted fried chicken. While Monica dives underwater, Chandler says, 'He has had a long, hard day.' It was a cute moment between the two, reminiscent of the playful moments in a relationship's early days.

8) The one with the wedding dress

If you know Monica, you know how much she wanted to get married and how much she wanted it the way she had planned. Like every other girl, Monica also planned to have a specific dress, which she got from a woman who wanted the dress, but in retaliation, she booked The Swing Kings band, which Chandler wanted.

Eventually, Monica returned the dress for the band because it meant so much for Chandler as he told the gang:

"While Monica and I were dancing to them ... it was the first time I knew that you were the woman I wanted to dance all my dances with."

7) The one where Chandler agrees that he loves Monica in front of the gang

Everybody knows how commitment-phobic Chandler was on Friends, so this heartfelt moment has got to make this list. This scene is from the Season 5 episode where everybody finds out, and while Phoebe was trying to make Chandler accept that he is sleeping with Monica, he instead confesses his love for her.

The whole gang was visibly shocked because they assumed they were just sleeping together, but Chandler committing was a huge step in their relationship.

6) The one with the Adoption

Looks like this list has a lot of Chandler accepting that he is head over heels for Monica on Friends. While committing to their relationship was a big deal for him, trying for adoption was another.

This scene comes when they go to meet Erica, who mistakes them as another couple. While Monica is desperate to have a child and plays along, they eventually come clean, and Erica is angry with them.

That is when Chandler requests Erica to pick them as her child's parents because he may not be a father yet, but his wife is a mother without a child (cue waterworks!), and he says:

"My wife's an incredible woman. She is loving, devoted, and caring ... I love my wife more than anything in this world. And it kills me that I can't give her a baby."

5) The one where Monica and Chandler sleep together

It would be blasphemy to make a list of Monica-Chandler moments and not include this in the list because this is where everything started. The time when the gang went to London for Ross' marriage to Emily was the first time they slept together.

They both agreed that since they are on London time, this does not mean anything, and it will not affect their friendship, and the rest is history.

4) The one where Monica teaches Chandler about the Erogenous Zones

This is the one when Chandler and Monica were still friends, and he was dating Kathy. Since Kathy was previously dating Joey, Chandler was nervous about sleeping with her. Since Joey would be better than him in bed, he asked Monica and Rachel to teach him about the female erogenous zones.

Monica steps up and explains everything to him in quite a bit of detail, with a diagram and labeling everything, not knowing she will be the one who will benefit from it! Chandler later agrees, 'If I'm the best, it's only because you made me the best.'

3) The one with the jellyfish

While there were almost no flirting incidents between Chandler and Monica on Friends before they slept together in London, Chandler started a conversation in the Season 3 finale. He listed scenarios to Monica where he would be the perfect boyfriend material.

The conversation ended awkwardly when a jellyfish stung Monica at the beach, and Chandler had to pee on her as urine works as an antidote. While he tried to flirt again, Monica shut him down by saying,

"You'll always be the guy that peed on me."

2) The one with Monica and Chandler's proposal

This was such a tense episode for all Mondler fans on Friends, seeing the return of Monica's ex-boyfriend Richard. While Chandler makes Monica think that he is not going to propose because of his commitment-phobia, he had a whole thing planned for her.

But when Richard reappears, he thinks that she might choose him over Chandler, but the episode ends with Monica going down on one knee and proposing to Chandler in their candlelit apartment, which is the most heartwarming moment on the show.

The most heartwarming Monica Chandler moment ever because it actually proves that Chandler is the king of one-liners. While most of his one-liners were funny, this one stole every Friends fan's heart.

When Phoebe called Monica high maintenance and claimed that Rachel would be a better woman to date, Monica was clearly upset and asked Chandler to weigh in. The man really knows how to play with words as he answers this:

"You're not easy-going, but you're passionate, and that's good. And when you get upset about the little things, I think that I'm pretty good about making you feel better about that. And that's good too. So, they can say that you're high maintenance, but it's okay, because I like ... maintaining you."
