Found Season 2 Episode 9: What happened to Dhan? Details explored 

After its midseason hiatus, Found Season 2 returned on NBC on January 16, 2025. Season 2 Episode 9, "Missing While Targeted," leaves an important character's fate in a cliffhanger. Dhan Rana, the security expert, is shot in the episode.

Found Season 2 Episode 9 shows Mosley & Associate, the crisis management team dealing with a case of a missing person. However, Gabi Mosley (Shanola Hampton) goes to find out about Sir (Mark-Paul Gosselaar). However, it was Sir who lured Gabi into the high school as he discovered some information about Trent. The leaked information might help Gabi out of the case that Trent put on her.

Gabi was hit on her head after she met Sir, who had some information about Trent. Trent found her unconscious on the floor and then took her to the hospital. The attacker was not revealed in the episode. However, it may be someone connected to Sir. Later, we also witness Sir coming face to face with Detective Mark Trent with evidence that showed Trent's father was guilty.

However, it was not just Gabi's life that was in danger. It was Dhan who was shot and was rushed to the hospital in the episode.

The synopsis of the episode reads:

"When a recovering drug addict goes missing, his girlfriend turns to M&A, but interference from the outside forces complicates the investigation; Sir uncovers a shocking secret about one of M&A's allies' one of the team members is critically injured."

How did Dhan get shot in Found Season 2?

In the Found Season 2 Episode 9, the team is seen investigating the disappearance of a recovering drug addict. They soon find the missing drug addict, Ian, who was kept under Trent's protection for security reasons. When the M&A team reached the courtroom to support Ian, they heard gunshots from the court premises.

The police chased the shooter while Gabi's blazer had a splatter of blood. But it wasn't her as she shouted, "Who got hit?" It was none other than Dhan, who was just beside Gabi.

The scene then shifted to the hospital, where everybody was worried about Dhan. Ethan, Dhan's husband, then shared that Dhan was being taken to surgery, but he had lost a lot of blood.

Ethan, who seemed visibly upset, also asked Gabi to leave the hospital. He said that he had to share Dhan with Gabi throughout their relationship, and he wanted the last moments with him alone.

Later, when Gabi rushes to Trent's house, she finds out that Sir has been hiding in his house for a long time. The camera pans to a different space, but we hear a scuffle, and a gun goes off. Someone might have been hurt and injured between Gabi, Trent, and Sir. Viewers have to wait for Found Season 2 Episode 10 to find out what happened in Trent's house.

Will Dhan survive in Found Season 2?

In an interview with TV Insider, Okoro Carroll revealed the fate of Dhan's character. Writer Okoro Carroll said,

" Karan Oberoi, who plays Dhan, isn't going anywhere. I would never let him. I love him. I'm like the mafia. He's not allowed to leave me. And so Dhan will survive the shooting."

Her approval makes it more certain that Dhan isn't leaving the show anytime soon. However, she also stated that there would be some major consequences. She continued,

"However surviving the shooting and consequences from something that big happening to you.. As the show has shown with our survivors many times, you survive the ordeal, but that doesn't mean you're not still dealing with it moving forward and the things it brings with it."

However, there would be a difficult time for Gabi and the team, as the kidnappers will go extreme ways to prevent their hostage from being found.
