Netflix has a brand-new exclusive comedy show titled Football Parents, upcoming in their May lineup. The show, described as 'goofy,' is all set to follow meddlesome and ambitious parents who try to push their children's football careers, much to their children's and other parents' embarrassment. The logline of the show reads:

"When it comes to their children's amateur football careers, this group of parents has no shame, no chill - and a peculiar sense of team spirit"

According to Netflix, the Ilse Warringa series is all set to premiere on May 16.

Netflix has unveiled the first look at this upcoming hilarious and relatable comedy, created, written, and directed by Ilse Warringa (who is also a lead actor), through an official teaser trailer.

Netflix describes this show as 'highly relatable' and a glimpse into the 'chaotic world of ambitious football parents.' The official description of the show reads:

"Football Parents is a comedy series that revolves around a group of ambitious parents who shamelessly meddle in their children's amateur football careers. We are introduced to this world through Lilian and her son Levi, who is new to the team. Lilian quickly realizes she wants to escape from this quirky group of parents, especially from the overenthusiastic team leader Marenka, who is the last person you want to deal with on a Saturday morning. However, Levi wants to stay and even forms a friendship with Vito, the most eccentric kid of all, who happens to be Marenka's son."

This eccentric show with a 'peculiar sense of team spirit' stars Ilse Warringa and Eva van Gessel as two wildly different types of parents supporting their children. Some of the other names attached to this project are Mariana Aparicio, Edwin Jonker, Michiel Nooter, Bas Hoeflaak, Leonoor Koster, Guido Pollemans, Nyncke Beekhuyzen, Arnoud Bos, Gurkan Küçüksentürk, Evrim Akyigit, Steef Cuijpers, Rian Gerritsen, and René van‘t Hof.

Albert Jan Von Ross is co-directing this series about parents who meddle in more than just their children's football careers with Ilse Warringa under the Hollands Licht production company.
