The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On star Vanessa has now revealed on her Instagram what went down between Nick and her on the day she exited the show.
There were talks about it already from Dave, Vanessa's boyfriend, about how Nick lied on his psych evaluation before The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On and hid things about himself. He was worried for Vanessa's safety by the end of it.
Sharing on Instagram, Vanessa said that when Sandy and JR kissed on The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, Nick was visibly upset and she understood his situation. She tried to be there for him and support him in any way she could. However, Nick started denying that Vanessa ever supported him. Revealing the truth, Vanessa said,
"Later that afternoon around two or three, the camera crew came in. All the while I had been supporting him for hours and hours. Immediately, he flips a switch and starts to spin up this fake story that I wasn't there for him earlier and some weird bullsh*t that was simply not true."
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On's Vanessa shares her side of the story
While talking about this total change in behavior executed by Nick, Vanessa said that she was confused. She also tried to understand what could have caused him to react like that but still did not understand. She said,
"This pissed me off so much because for obvious reasons it just felt like he was playing the victim card and trying to turn me into a villain for absolutely no reason. It was very much out of the blue and felt like an act to, I don't know, lean into some kind of character he wanted to be portrayed as on the show. I don't know why he did it. But it was really upsetting for me."
This was the beginning of Nick's altered behavior on The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On because as per Vanessa, he would go on to pull more of these contrasting mood swings later that day. She told on her Instagram that in the evening, Nick went to a hotel and spent time there.
They had both left things on a disappointing note. However, when Nick came, he had a completely different demeanor. Vanessa said,
"He came back from the grocery store. He was already in the parking deck whenever I got back and reeked of alcohol. We made our way up to the apartment. He had cocktail made for us. A disco ball going and EDM music blasting on like a Tuesday. I could have been down to, you know, do something afterward, had we been on good terms. But, we were not on good terms."
This further confused Vanessa about his behavior and she even asked him "why he was putting on this show and facade."
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On's Vanessa early claims about Nick
In the first "Part 1" video about Nick, Vanessa talks about his "substance abuse issues." She says that Nick had avoided telling all this to the production during his psych evaluations for The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On. Even Dave, in an earlier interview, had accused Nick of being a liar and now fans know what he meant by that. Vanessa revealed,
"The very first day that we were living together, he pulled me into the bedrooms which don't have cameras or audio. He pulled me into the bedroom and he shared some things with me that made me super concerned and frankly just uncomfortable. He shared with me that he has some substance abuse issues."
She continued by saying,
"I found out later through a birdie that he was still abusing while filming which was very apparent to me. He also has issues with alcohol. That was very apparent to me. That was a pretty big deal. He also admitted that he omitted this information whenever he went through his psych evaluation which is a big part of the process before you get on this type of experience."

According to Vanessa, all these details piled up and led to her and Dave leaving The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On. The couple are currently engaged and shared the pictures on their Instagram.
