After the success of The Walking Dead television series, AMC released another spin-off, The Walking Dead: Dead City in 2023. The show is part of the same Walking Dead universe, about two main characters, Maggie and Negan.

Their journey starts in The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 1 when Maggie and Negan enter an empty and destroyed Manhattan. They aim to rescue Maggie's kidnapped son, Hershel safely.

Both Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan have been praised for making Maggie and Negan two of the most intriguing characters. Interestingly, the actors had known each other before joining the AMC TV series and also took a co-star test last year.

This test is filled with several questions that test how much the duo knows each other. During the same, they were asked to reveal the first acting job of their co-star. Morgan said:

"The first time I became aware of you was Supernatural because I had just finished Supernatural and then you had joined..."

Turns out Jeffrey Dean Morgan guessed it wrong, as it wasn't Lauren Cohan's first acting job but fourth. Notably, the two have been a part of Supernatural but didn't appear next to each other.

Co-stars Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan gained immense commendation for their roles in The Walking Dead: Dead City. Because the setting is a post-apocalyptic world the title characters not only encounter zombies but also survivors who have constructed their disorderly society.

Following its popularity and its partnership in the AMC TV series, they decided to check how much they knew about each other's triumphs and acting careers. As previously mentioned, Morgan couldn't guess what Cohan's first acting role was, as he mentioned Supernatural instead of the 2005 film Casanova.

As for Morgan's first acting job, he mentioned it was "a Roger Corman movie" which is the 1991 thriller Uncaged, in which Morgan portrayed a killer pimp. So, the co-stars were both wrong about guessing the first roles.

The Walking Dead: Dead City co-stars are then asked to open up about their favorite scene in the series, to which Morgan mentioned a scene in Episode 2. He explains that Maggie and Negan are "held hostage" in a bathroom where the survivors get to know each other.

Next up they're asked about their birthdays, and both Cohan and Morgan are surprised as they guess the correct dates. The co-star test is filled with interesting questions and highlights Cohan and Morgan's incredible bond.

As for the US fans with a Netflix subscription, they can enjoy The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 now, as it has been made available to stream. It brings back Morgan and Cohan in the leading roles, while also featuring a new villain played by Kim Coates.

The actor mentioned that he was intrigued by the scripts and wanted to learn what kind of character he's been offered. Coates couldn't refuse the proposal and said

"I gotta tell you, this guy was written for me. He's a dink. He's just a bad person, he's super smart, he's a billionaire."

The actor contained:

"He lived in this incredible enclave during the zombie apocalypse in Manhattan... There's three or four gangs in Season 2, and Brugal is my name, and I'm certainly the biggest gang member of my squad. I kill a lot of zombies."

As explained by Coates, Brugal is a ruthless villain who never agrees to submit to anyone else's authority. Since Negan's new task is to bring together different groups, his quest will lead to conflicts with Brugal.
