Rian Johnson and Natasha Lyonne are all set to bring back the unconventional mystery seeker Charlie Cale on Poker Face season 2. Poker Face debuted in 2023 and first premiered on Peacock.
Since then, the show has only risen in popularity, garnering rave reviews and securing a near-perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes. A first teaser for the sophomore season of Poker Face recently dropped, confirmed that the upcoming show will release on May 8 exclusively on Peacock.
Poker Face features Natasha Lyonne as Charlie Cale who has a remarkable ability to catch people while they lie. Charlie has a knack for seeking out thrill and mystery while at the same time being inadvertently drawn into solving the same. The first season featured ten fast-paced episodes that have developed a dedicated audience. The upcoming second season, therefore, will consist of twelve episodes.

A recently released joint statement from Rian Johnson and Natasha Lyonne heralding the upcoming release read the following:
"Charlie Cale is back on the run, and in Season 2 we’ve taken her journey to the next level one murder mystery at a time. From minor league baseball to big box retail, from funeral homes to alligator farms and even a grade school talent show, Charlie navigates her crime solving existential road-trip with deadpan wit, human empathy, and her signature uncanny lie-detecting ability."
It can be expected that the audience would again find Charlie going off in her Plymouth Barracuda to find her mystery of the week. The show follows this format to ensure that viewers are glued to the screen with a new mystery to decipher every week, while at the same time allowing an ensemble cast to be associated with each new mystery.
Poker Face season 2 cast details revealed
As is evident from the teaser, the second season will feature a star-studded ensemble cast including Awkwafina, Adrienne C. Moore, Carol Kane, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Ben Marshall, B.J. Novak, Cynthia Erivo, David Krumholtz, Ego Nwodim, Davionte “GaTa” Ganter, Gaby Hoffmann, Giancarlo Esposito and Geraldine Viswanathan.
Poker Face season 2 will premiere on May 8, 2025 with the first three episodes releasing simultaneously. Following this, new episodes will air every Thursday on Peacock.
