Fire Country Season 3 Episode 12 recap: Bode and Audrey's relationship

Fire Country Season 3 Episode 12 kicks off with the moment fans had been eagerly anticipating—Bode and Audrey's conversation after they shared a kiss. While Bode is working at the family bar, Audrey shows up and the two admit they enjoyed the brief romantic moment.
Despite experiencing how workplace romance can be messy, Bode hasn't stopped flirting with Audrey. However, now that he has moved out from his parent's house, Bode feels more confident and independent.
Just when Bode is about to kiss Audrey in Fire Country Season 3 Episode 12, Jake shows up at the bar. He has been concerned about Bode and even warned him about his involvement with Audrey.
A rescue mission gone wrong in Fire Country Season 3 Episode 12

Even though Bode refuses Jake's concern, he isn't one to stay silent when he sees his friend making questionable choices. So, to get Bode’s mind off distractions, Jake takes him on the risk assessment trip to the Trinity National Forest in the Fire Country Season 3 episode.
Within a few minutes of their trip to the forest, the two hear a man's voice, asking for help. When Bode and Jake arrive at the place, they learn that a man named Rafael has been stuck under the debris from a recent rockslide.
Despite having no backup, they managed to get Rafael out, but the damage was already done. Rafael had severe injuries, making it hard to survive. To ensure his safety, Jake rushes to get their emergency supplies and inform the cell about the rescue mission.
Meanwhile, Rafael opens up about being a doctor and explains that he wants to escape his guilt in the mountains. The doctor couldn't save a young patient and felt responsible for the loss.
Rafael also realizes that he won't survive and asks Bode to tell his wife that she shouldn't wait for him. When Jake arrives, the doctor is already dead and the two men are deeply affected as it reminds them about their own losses.
The Reunion Express Program in Fire Country Season 3 Episode 12

While Jake and Bode are on their rescue mission, Eve and Gabriela are happy to launch a Reunion Express Program in Fire Country Season 3 Episode 12. This lets the Three Rock crew meet their children after being far away for a long time.
One of the inmates Cole is delighted to see his children, but his son Logan stays distant as he fears coming out to his father. When Eve learns about the same, she encourages Logan to tell Cole that he is gay.
As a result, Logan gathers the courage to confess to his father and receives love and acceptance from Cole. Not only this, but Cole even teaches his son some self-defense moves in case someone bullies him in school.
Vince struggles to parent his father in Fire Country Season 3

While Cole enjoys a reunion with his son, Vince on the other side is facing challenges to look after Walter. Now that Bode has moved out, Vince and Sharon must look after Walter, but his worsening dementia is becoming harder to manage.
In a heartbreaking moment in Fire Country Season 3 Episode 12, Walter confuses Audrey for Riley and forgets that his daughter is no more. Vince is frustrated to see this happen and doesn't know how to handle this situation.
Meanwhile, Sharon tells Audrey that she cannot do her laundry at the firehouse. She offers her a chance to do it at her home, in exchange for helping with Walter. This way, the show would ensure someone is there for Walter when Sharon is not home.
The Fire Country Season 3 episode ends with Gabby helping Jake tell Rafael's wife about his fate and convey his love to her. In the end, they all enjoy Audrey's song at the bar and she even takes a family picture of the Leones without Riley.
