Certainly both the events are connected and would lead to a blast of adventure. Read on to know what happens then, the full recap of episode 4 of season 7.

What happened when OA and Gemma boarded the train in FBI, season 7, episode 4

OA boards the train along with Gemma, unarmed as his girlfriend requested, but this leaves them in danger when the train gets hijacked by some anonymous group of people. OA gestures Gemma to stay low and not draw attention. Meanwhile, the FBI team gets intel about the hijack and the demands of the hijackers. The agents must work quickly before the train reaches its target.

A routine train journey transforms into chaos driven by fear. OA kept his profession undercover and introduced himself as a lawyer. The hijackers' leader was James, demanding three hundred million in monero, an untraceable cryptocurrency. He reasoned that they needed it for their family. One person talks to OA and suggests overcoming these gunmen together, but OA is inconvinced. However, when the man still registers his protest, OA helps him but ends up being tied up while Gemma is accidentally shot in her belly.

As a result, OA had to reveal his identity and convinced one of the hijackers that he could help them fulfil their demands. They got him first aid, helped dress the wound and stop the bleeding. Deep down, OA felt guilty as he was responsible for Gemma's safety.

The department set up a "failsafe" to stop the train from reaching its target, but if the train hit this point, there was a high possibility of the train getting derailed, sacrificing the lives of many. For OA, the clock is ticking.

Gradually, OA assesses the hijackers' weapons and communication methods. He sends a crucial message to the FBI department with a passenger's phone. The department negotiates with the hijackers, but they refuse to comply, suggesting that they must have some larger plans. Jamie got to learn that Evelyn never planned to stop the train for the sake of her revenge, and this brings the lives of the gunmen in danger. For this, they were not ready. Here, things started getting into OA's control, and he successfully got most of the gunmen to surrender peacefully.

OA enters the driver's cabin and successfully applies the brakes that stop the train a handful of distance from the 'failsafe'. The FBI team decides to bear the high risk of executing an operation, and Maggie and Scola enter the train to help OA. They were finally able to neutralize the threat.

By the end of the episode, the Passengers evacuate the train safely as the FBI department reflects on the conflict and the investigations that further unfold some unresolved storylines setting up for the next episode.
