FBI: Most Wanted explores the world of the FBI's fugitive task force, who are trained to solve some of the most dangerous cases on the radar. In season 6, episode 16, they encounter yet another case of poisoning when they find two victims who died similarly. However, the victims are not connected. One is a pregnant woman, Maisy Durt, and another is a man who was happily renovating his house, named Carlos Hernandez.

The episode opens with patients in the hospital showing severe symptoms like bleeding from the eyes and liver failure. More people eventually started to die from the same chemical that the FBI claimed to be dimethyl Nitrosamine (DMN). The poisoning seemed random as the chemical was found in a street lemonade and a water cooler at a basketball court.

The FBI investigated the sources of the poison used, which linked them to a hospital orderly, Cormac McClure. McClure demanded $ 10 million as ransom. He further threatened to take more lives if his demands were not met. McClure kills by contaminating the target's consumables with the dangerous chemical.

In FBI: Most Wanted, it is revealed that McClure's actions were a result of his personal grief and motivated desire for revenge. His father is a retired surgeon. His life experiences have led him to believe that the world is unfair. He sees these killings as a way to fight this unfair system where good people always suffer. He also has a son, Jason, who is struggling with his father's beliefs and his understanding of right and wrong. The FBI also talks to Jason and encourages him to hold a stand for himself.

The FBI: Most Wanted, episode 16 of season 6, portrays how societal rejection and suffering can lead to frustration that the person can resort to killing happy people. His victims are mostly people who are experiencing some significant event in their lives and are evidently happy about it.
