FBI: International season 4 episode 9 recap: Does Vo survive?

CBS’ FBI: International season 4 returned after its mid-season hiatus on January 28, 2025. The last time we saw the Special Agents, they were facing off against the deadly criminal Greg Csonka.

In the fall finale, Csonka shot Agent Cameron Vo, who had to be rushed to the hospital. As Vo underwent surgery, her fate hung in the balance. The winter premiere, titled The Kill Floor, picks up after the fall finale and addresses whether Vo survives the shooting.

Does Vo survive in FBI: International season 4 episode 9?

Cameron Vo is taken into surgery after being shot by Csonka. At the beginning of season 4, episode 9, the chances of her survival seem grim. While the doctors manage to stabilize her, she remains at risk of infection, which keeps her in critical condition.

Vo fights for her life throughout the episode, while her team is worried about her fate. By the end, Intelligence Analyst Celeste Lee confirms to her team that Vo has survived the attack and will recover. The team finally gets a reason to celebrate as Vo is out of danger.

FBI: International season 4 episode 9 recap: Where does Csonka escape to?

After escaping from custody, Greg Csonka goes to Paris to hide and plan his next move. This isn't the first time he has been chased, as he was previously convicted in Los Angeles and used a fake passport to escape to Mexico. This time, he chooses to head to Paris because he has some allies there.

Csonka then uses fake identities and misleads the authorities to stay out of sight. When his men refuse to hide him any longer, he kills one of them to instill fear and continues hiding in Paris.

He even tricks the FBI by giving money to his girlfriend, Valerie Marez, who sets up a trap for the FBI. Special Agent Raines tracks them down but ends up being taken as a hostage. Csonka then tries to trade the agent’s freedom for his escape.

FBI: International season 4 episode 9 recap: Does the team take down Csonka?

The Fly Team works relentlessly to track down Csonka, knowing how dangerous he can be. They ultimately force Valerie to help them. She does not hold French citizenship and can live in the country only on a visa. The FBI threatens to take her visa away if she does not cooperate with them.

Valerie eventually agrees and calls Csonka. She keeps talking to him until the FBI traces his location. However, when the Fly Team reaches his hideout, they find that Csonka has already left with Raines.

They get a breakthrough when they arrest a member of the Belmondo Crime Family, who reveals Csonka is heading to the airport. Csonka plans to use Raines to pose as a federal agent and escape the country.

Even though Csonka gets a warning and attempts to change his plan, Raines attacks him and the two engage in a physical altercation. Raines manages to injure Csonka, who then runs away. Agent Wes later finds the criminal on a bridge.

Csonka tries to grab a gun when he sees the agent and Wes is forced to shoot him, marking the end of his criminal activities. With Csonka’s death, the case is finally closed and the team breathes a sigh of relief.
