"Failed to read the room": Selling The City fans react to Jade "poaching" Taylor in front of Eleonora

Netflix's Selling The City premiered with eight episodes on January 3, 2025. The first episode of the real-estate show featured a lunch hosted by Jade. During the episode, fans witnessed how Jade also invited one of Eleonora's team members, Taylor.

On the other hand, other members of her team were not invited, which the remaining teammates were quite vocal about.

During the lunch, Jade had various discussions with Taylor, which everyone, including guest and fellow agent Steve Gold, noticed. Eleonora was unimpressed by the incident as Taylor was her team member.

After witnessing Jade trying to "poach" Taylor in front of Eleonora and fellow realtors, fans reacted to the situation and shared it on social media platform X (formerly Twitter.)

Selling The City: Jade's lunch at 53 West 53 building with Eleonora, Steve Gold, and Taylor

Selling The City star Jade arrived first at the venue, where she confessed how she wanted to "show off" restaurant amenities at 53 West 53 building, which she represented. She also mentioned how they sold one apartment with Steve Gold, and for that, it was a celebratory lunch, as well.

Soon, agents included Justin, Eleonora, Taylor, and Steve, along with his wife Luiza. During the lunch, when Justin asked how only Taylor was invited for the lunch, Eleonora mentioned Jade invited her because:

"Whoever's here is who Jade invited since she's hosting, so she felt comfortable with Tyor and not the others, I guess."

Later, during lunch, Selling The City star Jade had a conversation with Taylor, where she told her:

"You're already seasoned and so experienced already...But I think it's also just like a new journey for you in general. And the new development aspect in another different world. I was excited to have you here because I thought it would be cool to have you experience, you know, part of that new dev aspect. And you may love it. It's not for everybody. But you know what? It's a good skill set to have, so I'm excited."

Seeing Jade's behavior and advice to Taylor, Steve told Eleonora:

"Seems like she's trying to recruit your girl."

Selling The City star Eleonora replied that it was "True." She told the cameras that Jade's lunch was "odd." She was showing off to Steve and "chumming it up" with Taylor.
