The BBC TV series, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, was released on Netflix on Thursday, August 1, 2024. Based on Holly Jackson's book of the same name, the series first premiered in the UK and garnered a lot of attention for its cast and its intriguing murder mystery.

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder follows high school student Pippa "Pip" Fitz-Amobi (Emma Myers) as she tries to solve the murder of 17-year-old Andie Bell (India Lillie Davies). For five years, Pip's small town, Little Kilton, had believed that Andie's boyfriend Sal Singh (Rahul Pattni) had killed her. However, Pippa didn't believe the same, and during her senior year, she partnered up with Sal's brother, Ravi, (Zain Iqbal), to try and find the killer.

As Pip digs deeper into the murder investigation, she learns new facts about her small town that shock her and Ravi. The two discover that Andie's sister, Becca (Carla Woodcock), was the one who killed Andie after they fought. At the end of episode six, it is revealed that Becca pushed Andie during a conflict, causing her death.

Following the harrowing incident, Becca threw Andie Bell's body into a well located in the outer woods of the English town of Little Kilton. Andie Bell was killed, accidentally, by her own sister and not Sal Singh.

Becca was the one who accidentally killed Andie Bell, but it was Andie's boyfriend, Sal Singh, who was accused of her death. As Pip uncovered the truth behind Andie's death, she also learned of the dark reason behind Becca and Andie's fight.

In A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, Andie has a relationship with Sal, but she was also sleeping with a "Secret Old Guy." The latter is later revealed to be their English professor, Elliot (Matthew Baynton).

Meanwhile, Andie and Becca's father's behavior frustrated the two and made them want to escape. That was why Andie decided to run away from home and begin selling drugs to make money.

At one point, Andie also asked "Secret Old Guy" to give her some money. However, he refuses, and the two get into an altercation, when he pushes Andie, causing her to fall and injure her head. She then pushes the man before reaching home to tell her sister of her plan.

Andie's revelation severely affects Becca, who shoves at her sister in frustration. She knew that Andie was the one who sold drugs to Max, who spiked Becca's drink and then r*ped her, which was why she let Andie die.

She explained it as an "awful" experience as she helplessly watched Andie die while choking and vomiting. After confessing her crime, Becca took Pip to a deep well, where she threw Andie's dead body, and even tried to push Pip inside it, but Ravi and Cara rescued Pip on time.

Fans of the show have eagerly been waiting for a season 2, but that has yet to be confirmed by either the BBC or Netflix. However, the book has two more parts released after it, making it quite probable for there to be seasons 2 and 3.

The teen murder mystery series received positive reviews from viewers, who liked the chemistry between Emma Myers' Pip and Zain Iqbal's Ravi Singh.

In an interview with Entertainment UK, Emma Myers expressed her desire to adapt the remaining two novels for the series and conclude it with all her cast members.
