Fans who are eagerly waiting for Outlander: Blood of My Blood, the prequel to the hit show Outlander which is currently in its 7th season are in for some good news. Besides the recently released teaser that gives a sneak peek into the story of the show, there are now fresh photos that have been released, featuring the parents of Jamie and Claire.
The official synopsis of Outlander: Blood of My Blood reads,
“This prequel to the Outlander series focuses on the lives and courtship of the parents of Jamie Fraser: Brian Fraser and Ellen Mackenzie as well as Claire Beauchamp's parents, Henry Beauchamp and Julia Moriston.”
Talking about the plot of the show, Matthew B. Roberts, one of the executive producers of both shows, told The Hollywood Reporter,
“We’re thrilled to be telling the stories of these two couples. The origins of their relationships explore universal themes that transcend time periods, and we’re so excited for fans to discover and fall in love with these characters and their love stories the way they have with Claire and Jamie.”
Since the focus will be on the parents of Jamie and Claire in two different timelines, the newly released photos have naturally garnered a lot of excitement and interest. Let us now explore in detail what can be deciphered from these pictures.

As reported by Deadline, the new pictures provide more information and a better look at the lives of Jamie and Claire’s parents, Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser, and Henry Beauchamp and Julia Moriston, respectively.
One picture shows Jamie’s father Brian Fraser standing on something similar to castle grounds and his mother Ellen MacKenzie with a wine glass in front of a fireplace. Another picture features Henry Beauchamp, Claire’s father as he is seen in his army uniform on the grounds of WWI. There is a picture featuring Claire’s mother Julia Moriston as well as she is seen to be sitting in her London censorship office. The picture also features a coworker of hers who appears to be holding something like a pamphlet.
Outlander: Blood of My Blood will be following these two couples during two different periods of history - one during the 18th century and another during WWI. The first season will have 10 episodes and is likely to air in the middle of 2025.
