The long-awaited Landman Season 1 finale is almost here and after watching the penultimate episode, fans must be curious about Tommy Norris' final decision. Norris has been on a rollercoaster balancing corporate tension, cartel threats, and family drama.

It's high time for Tommy to decide his path, especially after his billionaire boss: Jon Hamm’s Monty Miller's health crisis. Additionally, there are other characters like Tommy's daughter Ainsley, his son Cooper, and other supporting characters whose storylines fans are curious about.

So, Landman Season 1 has dual responsibilities: to wrap up key storylines introduced throughout the season and set the stage for a potential Season 2. While Sheridan or Paramount haven't confirmed another season, the show's co-creator Christian Wallace shared in an interview with The Direct:

"Well, I mean, as long as there are stories to tell, I would love to keep telling them. And I think we really just skinned the surface on our first season, and that's saying something because they cover a lot of ground. So yeah, I hope we keep telling these stories for a while."

As for the fans, they would always love the series to continue just as Sheridan did with one of his other hits Yellowstone. So, Landman's ending is expected to be satisfying and reveal what Tommy chooses if his boss fails to make it out alive after the heart attack.

Following Billy Bob Thornton’s gritty performance and the intense portrayal of the Texas oil industry, fans expect a season-finale that must strike a balance between closure and continuity. While Tommy Norris's moral struggles are the focus of the show, the cartel's climactic threat, Cami's rise to power, and Ainsley's personal growth are also the key factors to be addressed in the finale.

Here's what is crucial for fans to know before Landman Season 1 ends:

Tommy Norris' choice between family and career: The biggest question after the penultimate episode is Tommy Norris' priority. While Cooper has chosen independence, Ainsley lives her own life, the cartel executive isn't free from the struggle of balancing his personal and professional life.

Landman Episode 9 hinted at Monty's death, and if this happens to be true, Norris has two options: Should he hold his boss' legacy in the oil industry and run M-Tex potentially at the cost of his family’s safety and happiness? OR will he prioritize his family over power?

The Cartel's crucial role in driving the plot: The cartel has been a constant source of tension throughout the series. As seen in Episode 9 "WolfCamp" Tommy is on a call with his contact from the cartel, who informs him that the cartel is aware of Tommy's action and Monty's health crisis.

Not only this, but he also says "Like I said, I have an army, too, and eyes everywhere", leaving Tommy to feel uneasy due to their current situation. So, the cartel must come to fruition which might include targeting Tommy's daughter Ainsley, or making things hard for Cooper, who has also stepped into the oil industry.

Giving Cami more power: Now that her billionaire husband's fate is uncertain, Cami must take the responsibility and power to run M-Tex. Additionally, the role is played by one of the acclaimed actresses Demi Moore, who deserves more than just being a supporting character with brief appearances.

The finale synopsis hints that Cami might finally receive the spot she deserves, as she will be seen discussing the next move with Norris due to the Cartel's threat. The synopsis reads:

"Tommy and Cami discuss whether to gamble or play it safe. The cartel makes a move."

If Monty dies, Cami is highly expected to become a key figure in a potential Season 2 instead of briefly occurring during conversations. Not only this, but Cami's rise to power will also highlight female empowerment in a male-dominated oil industry.
