John Mulaney will return to Netflix with a special live talk show titled Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney on March 12, 2025. The live show will air weekly for 12 consecutive weeks every Wednesday. The new show is expected to bring together celebrities and comedians under the same roof with the promise of a good time.
Mulaney spoke to the press during Next on Netflix event about the upcoming show. He said,
‘We will be live globally with no delay. We will never be relevant. We will never be your source for news. We will always be reckless. Netflix will always provide us with data that we will ignore.’
In 2024, Netflix had announced that John Mulaney will be coming back on the platform as part of the spinoff of his previous live show Everybody’s in L.A. The show was part of the Netflix Is A Joke festival and was aired for six days.
The comedically unique show was a perfect combination of live chat with pre-taped segments. Everybody’s in L.A. was a hit among the critics and fans. The show had guests such as Jerry Seinfeld, Will Ferrell, Jon Stewart and David Letterman. While Everybody’s in L.A. focused on Los Angeles, this time around with Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney, the comedian will reach out to a wider audience.
While there are no official updates on guests who will appear on the show, Mulaney teased,
"This will be the one place where you could see Arnold Schwarzenegger sitting next to Nikki Glaser sitting next to a family therapist with music by Mannequin Pussy. There is absolutely nothing new about what I’m doing but, by taking a lot of elements other people have already done and doing them out of order, it feels new, and that’s what’s important."
Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney joins the list of other live programs that Netflix has been adding to their roster of late including Chris Rock: Selective Outrage, The Netflix Cup, The 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, The Netflix Slam, NFL Christmas Gameday Special and WWE among others.
