"Secret Level is a new adult-animated anthology series featuring original stories set within the worlds of some of the world’s most beloved video games. From the creative minds behind LOVE, DEATH + ROBOTS, each of the 15 episodes is a celebration of games and gamers."
Let's look at all the games to be featured on Secret Level.
Every video game featured on Amazon Prime Video's latest animated show Secret Level
1) Armored Core
Debuting in 1997, this game is set in a version of Earth where society resides underground, and people are involved in mech-based combat to seek control. Players can customize their mechs to match their futuristic style of warfare and play this game. Keanu Reeves will star in the Armored Core episode.
2) Concord
While Concord was supposed to be the next hit for Sony, it failed to capture the market, and thus, Secret Level including it as one of the games when Sony already discontinued it was quite unusual. The game had two five-team players competing with each other, but a lack of originality eventually led to its demise.
3) Crossfire
While not so popular in the West, Crossfire is one of the most popular games in Asia. Equipped with a simple narrative and competitive nature, this game is well-liked among casual players. This free-for-all game has earned around $10 billion and is set to feature on Secret Level.
4) Dungeons & Dragons
The next featured game on Secret Level started as a board game and soon got a video game adaptation with many spinoffs, considering its popularity. The game follows a Dungeon master telling stories about various mythical characters. This game is popular because of its charming storytelling and a trip to a fantasy land, where the players have to fight powerful dragons.
5) Exodus
One of the unreleased games on the show yet, Exodus is set in a hostile earth where inhabitants must fight against alien forces known as the Celestials. While this sci-fi game has already released a lot of trailers, it is yet to be seen. Will this be a hit or a miss?
6) Honor of Kings
Mimicking the likes of League of Legends and Dota, the show also targets mobile games like Honor Of Kings, where players can choose from various characters. They can upgrade these characters and abilities and must fight their opponents by destroying their crystal hidden in the enemy base.
7) Mega Man
Introduced in 1980, Mega Man is another fan-favorite game on the show. Among many of Capcom’s recognizable IPs, Mega is tasked with defending the world against its enemies with its robotic arm. The slide scroll's simplicity and fast-paced action filled the game's graphics, making it instant hot among players.
8) New World: Aeternum
A popular MMORPG, New World is a game that makes for a perfect adaptation. With its dark and bleak setting, it is no surprise that Secret Level thought of adapting this into one of the episodes. The supernatural setting and elements make this stand out from its parent 2021 game and make for an interesting game to spend hours on.
9) Pac-Man
The most popular arcade game of the 90s followed the players to help Pac-Man collect all the dots in a maze before he is caught by the four ghosts catching up on him. While the game has reinvented itself over the years, the original version remains nostalgic and classic for all the right reasons.
10) Playtime
PlayStation couldn't decide on a specific IP, so expect to see multiple characters in a single episode. While how they all will come together is unclear, you can expect to see “God of War’s” Kratos and “Ghost of Tsushima’s” Jin Sakai. Jin also appeared in the show's trailer, confirming that the character will be a part of Secret Level.
11) Sifu
A revenge game with a fresh Chinese setting, Sifu is a one-of-a-kind fighting game. Players have to control a martial arts protagonist who is out to seek revenge on the people responsible for his father's death. Sifu is one of the most uniquely made games in a world, where the characters age after each defeat.
12) Spelunky
A successful independent game, Spelunky features many caves where the players must journey to find hidden treasures. They have many obstacles and enemies between them. While it is a simple hidden treasure game, the randomness of each level adds to its replayability.
13) The Outer Worlds
An instant hit in the RPG genre, this 2019 game also features on Secret Level. The game takes place at a star system called Halcyon, where megacorporations threaten to colonize space. Multiple characters and exotic locations make it a perfect game to be adapted into an episode for Secret Level.
14) Unreal Tournament
Unreal Tournament is staple in the arena shooter game genre. It follows players trying to gun down each other in a confined space with a specific objective in the end. While multiple modes are available in the game, the free to all is the most popular and widely played mode.
15) Warhammer 40,000
Another tabletop and niche game, which follows the players who must move their characters across a battlefield and take control over their opponent warrior. This futuristic combat game features a bleak world, which is a perfect setting for a TV series, and hence, the makers decided to feature it as one of the games on the show.
