To do so, the show's creators have roped in cameo appearances from stalwarts such as Martin Scorsese, Zoë Kravitz, and Adam Scott. Even Olivia Wilde can be seen making an appearance.

The cameos assume added significance when played out in the narrative's context. They lend authenticity and establish the daily struggles of being a Hollywood studio executive who is at once torn between several directions, meeting several people in meetings that hold the potential to make or break careers.

The trailer begins by establishing the greatest fear Matt now has:

"I love movies, but now I have this fear that my job is to ruin them."

Interestingly, the David Krumholtz character deciphers the absurdity of Matt's goals and verily warns him:
