Cobra Kai, an American martial arts comedy-drama, was originally a YouTube Red series that became a Netflix show because of its popularity.
The series is based on The Karate Kid narrative, based on Johnny's point of view and the re-opening of the Karate dojo. Many actors from the original film franchise reprise their roles for the show.
Season 3 was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series at the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards.

1) Ralph Macchio as Daniel LaRusso
The protagonist of The Karate Kid franchise, Macchio, has appeared as Daniel in all three movies: The Karate Kid, The Karate Kid Part II, and The Karate Kid Part III.
He reprised his role as Daniel in the Cobra Kai series and played the titular role. He originally lived in New Jersey but moved to Los Angeles to take Karate and defend himself.
He has also starred in Entourage, Ugly Betty and Hitchcock.
2) William Zabka as Johnny Lawrence
Zabka played the secondary antagonist in the Karate Kid movies and appeared in The Karate Kid, Part II.
He reprised his role as an overarching protagonist in Cobra Kai. He is Daniel's ultimate rival and the defending champion of the All Valley Under-18 Karate Championships.
After realizing the negative impacts of Dojo's philosophy, he opens his dojo in Season 3, Eagle Fang Karate.
3) Martin Kove as John Kreese
Kove is the main antagonist in both the series and the movie franchise. He has appeared in all three movies: The Karate Kid, The Karate Kid Part II, and The Karate Kid Part III.
He opens his dojo with his best friend, Terry Silver, who later frames him, and he loses control of it. He opens his dojo with Kim-Da Eun, the granddaughter of his original sensei in Season 6.
4) Thomas Ian Griffith as Terry Silver
After being mentioned in the original film, he is finally introduced as the main antagonist in The Karate Kid Part III (1989).
After thirty-two years, he reprised his role as Terry Silver in Cobra Kai Season 4. He helps his best friend John to open a dojo but later frames him and sends him to prison.
