Hwang Dong-hyuk's dystopian survival thriller series Squid Game Season 2 finally hit Netflix today after a long period of anticipation. Protagonist Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-Jae), aka player 456, returns to this deadly game of life, death, and money while trying to warn participants against it.
With the guilt of other players' deaths still hanging over him after winning the first game in Season 1, Seong decides to turn his life around. So, as he walks away from his flight to America, he resolves to end the life-taking, vicious cycle of the game once and for all.
However, things do not go as planned. Seong tries to warn his fellow participants and pleads that they work together against the game rules to survive the nightmare. Disbelief gives rise to more death as the plot thickens and leaves further questions for the audience.
