'From' is a series belonging to the science fiction horror genre. The plot of the show revolves around a town in America that is filled with monstrous creatures that only come out on the streets during the night. The horrific human-like creatures are after the residents of the town, co-axing and convincing them to open their doors.
In the series, audiences see characters such as Boyd Stevens played by Harold Perrineau, The Matthews family, and newcomers in the Town. The cast of the series features Eion Bailey, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Elizabeth Saunders, David Alpay, Ricky He, and Scott McCord.
The series was renewed for a fourth season in November 2024 after wrapping up Season 3. Here's a recap of all the characters that we lost in the third season of the series.
A list of every From season 3 death
1) Dale
Dale's death in 'From' is known as one of the most brutal deaths in the series. The character of Dale, played by Cliff Saunders, lived in the Colony house and was considered to be the most grumpy resident of the mansion.
Dale's character died in season 3 episode 5. In episode 5, Tabitha remembers being transported to a lighthouse by the faraway tree before she fell from it and ended up back in Maine.
Hearing about what the faraway tree did to Tabitha, Dale becomes convinced that the only way out of the town is through the faraway tree. Tabitha and Jade warn him about the dangers of the faraway tree as Victor had warned everyone about the unpredictability of the faraway tree.
In an attempt to save himself and the residents of the town, Dale tried to escape through the faraway tree. He was later found transported and stuck inside the wall of an abandoned pool, in the town where he suffocated and died a painful death.
2) The Paramedics
The paramedics in the series were killed by the monsters in season 3 episode 3 of the series, 'From'. After Tabitha and Henry get hurt in a car accident, an ambulance arrives with two paramedics to help them.
The paramedics somehow end up driving into the Town. They see an unconscious woman facedown on the street and rush to help her. Tabitha tries her best to keep the paramedics from helping the woman but fails.
When the two paramedics reach to help the woman on the street, they become the next victims of the monsters. The woman on the street turns out to be a monster who slashes their bodies open and kills them. The monster leaves the paramedics to die.
3) Jim
Jim dies in the season 3 finale of the series, 'From'. As the season finale concludes, audiences see Jim return to the Mattews family RV. Upon reaching there, he sees Julie who is warning him of something bad happening.
Julie is suddenly seen with shorter hair and a scratched face suggesting she's time-travelled and is from the future. Julie indicates she knows what happens next. During the day, audiences then witness the murder of Jim.
He is killed by a man in a yellow suit who is suspected to be the leader of the monsters and the secret keeper of the Town. After Jim sees Julie, a man in a yellow suit comes up to him and proceeds to tell him that knowledge comes with a cost. He then slits Jim's throat.
4) Nicky
A resident of the Colony House just like Dale, Nicky is introduced as a character in season 3 of the series, 'From'. Tamara Fifield plays the role of Nicky. Officer Acosta reached the Town in an ambulance and saw the monsters murder the paramedics.
Upon seeing the horrific sight of the monsters, Officer Acosta begins panicking and firing at the monsters. As Officer Acosta is shooting aimlessly, Nicky looks outside the window of the Colony House to see what's happening outside. The bullets that Officer Acosta fires in panic hit Nikki and kill her after a few hours of treatment.
5) Tian- Chen Liu
The first devastating death in 'From' season 3, Tian-Chen Liu is played by Elizabeth Moy. Tian-Chen Liu was considered one of the strongest and most loved residents of the Town. Seeing this, the monsters made her their next target.
In season 3 episode 1, the monsters free the Town's animals. Tian-Chen Liu and Boyd are seen getting the animals back to the barn. As they reach the barn, they see the monsters waiting for them.
The monsters capture Tian-Chen Liu and Boyd and force the latter to see the monsters rip apart Tian-Chen's head. Boyd tries his best to comfort Tian-Chen Liu as the monsters tear her apart.
