A teen drama, Euphoria season 3 is an upcoming season of the HBO series, Euphoria. Written and created by Sam Levinson. Euphoria is about Rue Bennett, a disturbed teenage drug addict trying to find her place in the world while grappling with personal losses.

The series focuses on Rue's struggles as a drug addict trying to get sober. While Rue's character is the focus, the series also delves into the lives and relationships of the teenagers around her.

The series features Zendaya as Rue. The original cast of Euphoria also includes Maude Apatow, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, Sydney Sweeney, Nika King, Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer, Colman Domingo, Angus Cloud, and Barbie Ferreira.

In 2022, Euphoria season 3 was announced. While many believed Euphoria season 3 would release in 2024, filming was delayed due to the 2023 Hollywood labor strikes. Production of Euphoria season 3 is scheduled for January 2025.

1) A film noir

While talking to Elle, creator and writer of the series, Sam Levinson stated that he viewed season 3 as a "film noir." Levinson hinted through Zendaya's character, Rue, that season 3 will "explore what it means to be an individual with principles in a corrupt world."

2) Season 3 will take place in the future

Cast members and those involved in the production of the series have revealed Euphoria season 3 will include a time jump. While talking to Entertainment Weekly, Zendaya stated,

"It's important because there's only so much high school drama you can deal with. I don't actually know much about what is happening. I don't quite know exactly what the season is going to look like, but I do know that the time jump is happening."

She further added,

"It will be fascinating to see and understand these characters outside of the context of high school and how all the stuff that we saw when they were kids and they were in high school affects the adulthood they have and who they become in a much bigger world. I'll be interested to see what happens too."

Hunter Schafer, who plays the role of Jules Vaughn, has also spoken about her character and the time jump. She expressed hope for a break for Jules during the time that elapses between the last and upcoming season. She stated,

"The past two seasons have been pretty rough on Jules. So I just hope she's gotten to chill out and be a regular teenage girl."

3) Season 3 will not take place in a high school

Since the third season of the series will see a time jump, it is safe to assume that Euphoria season 3 will show audiences the lives of the characters outside of their high school. The third season of the series will follow the characters as they enter adulthood.

Colman Domingo, who plays the role of Rue's AA sponsor, Ali Muhammed, recently stated that the characters of the series will have major breakthroughs in Euphoria season 3. While talking to Variety, the actor praised Sam Levinson's vision for Euphoria season 3.

While he did not reveal much about the plot of the upcoming season, Domingo stated,

"I have not seen a script, but I have heard about some scripts, and what I've heard is fantastic. It's characters that we know and we're on the journey with, and we're fighting for them as they're fighting for their own spaces in the world. They're all having breakthroughs in many ways. That's what I found out."

5) Season 3 will not see the return of some characters

Euphoria season 3 will not see the return of some characters from season 2 of the series. The series will not see the return of Angus Cloud as Fezco, Rue's friend and drug dealer, due to his death in 2023.

The third season of the series will also not see the return of Barbie Ferreira, who played the role of Kat Hernandez. In 2022, the actress revealed she would not be returning after two seasons, as her character did not have a clear direction or an effective arc.
