Euphoria Season 3: Sharon Stone reportedly in talks for a role in upcoming chapter of HBO drama

The acclaimed HBO series Euphoria is gearing up for the third season, and the latest buzz suggests Hollywood icon Sharon Stone could join the ensemble. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stone is in talks to join the cast.

Stone who is best known for her roles in Casino, Total Recall, and Catwoman has not commented about her role in the upcoming season of Euphoria. The Academy Award-nominated and Emmy-winning actress could bring her expertise to the hit HBO series.

Created by Sam Levinson, Euphoria has evolved to be one of the most talked about series on HBO offering a look at the tumultuous teenagers as they navigate love, addiction, and identity. Euphoria Season 3 will have eight episodes.


Who is Sharon Stone

Born on March 10, 1958, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, Stone is an iconic American actress, model, producer, and activist. She rose to fame with her roles in Basic Instinct (1992) and Casino (1995) which earned her a Academy Award nomination. She is often known for her bold performances in Silver and Total Recall.

However, her career suffered a major setback in 2021 when she suffered from a stroke that left her partially paralyzed. She took a long time to recover. Beyond her acting career, she is an advocate for humanitarian causes including women's rights and AIDS awareness.

In recent years, Stone has appeared in projects including Laundromat (2019) and Ratched (2020). She has also published her memoir The Beauty of Living Twice which was based on her life's struggles and journey after stroke.

Recently, the 66-year-old actress shared an Instagram video on Valentine's Day about her mother who had had a small accident. In the caption, Stone wrote:

"This is grit, this is legacy, this is character, this is how you get up after you fall at 92. CHAMPION MOMMY"

Euphoria Season 3 cast: A star-studded affair

HBO has revealed that the production of Season 3 has already begun after a wait of over three years. Alongside Stone, Euphoria Season 3 is set to bring back many core characters including Zendaya as Rue, Jacob Elordi as Nate, Sydney Sweet as Cassie, and Alexi Demi as Maddy. Other returning faces for Euphoria Season 3 include Hunter Schafer (Jules), Maude Apatow (Lexi), Colman Domingo (Ali), and Eric Dane (Cal). Chloe Cherry and Martha Kelly who had guest appearances in the previous season will also appear in the upcoming season.

However, with the recurring cast, HBO has confirmed several exciting new cast members NFL star turned actor Marshawn Lynch and Grammy-winning artist Rosalia. Additionally, we might also see Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kadeem Hardison, and Toby Wallace.

Nika King, Dominic Fike, and Algee Smith might not be returning for the upcoming season.

Euphoria Season 3 promises a pivotal chapter in the Euphoria saga, it will feature a time jump pushing characters beyond their teen days. Viewers can expect the drama to continue exploring themes of love, relationship, identity, and trauma through the characters. With the cast expanding, and the time jump, it is clear that the new season is all set to bring new plotlines and fresh challenges.

Though the premiere date of Euphoria Season 3 has not been confirmed yet it is expected to air sometime in 2026.
