"Emotionless and evil" - Love is Blind fans criticize Dave's reasons for not marrying Lauren

Love is Blind stars Lauren and Dave broke up on episode 11 as they tried to hash out the mystery guy issue once again. Fans have been growing weary of just how many times Dave has brought up this issue. Many have claimed that he just didn't want to marry Lauren and was using it as an excuse to exit without guilt.

For the unversed, Lauren was seeing a guy whom she describes as a strictly "friends with benefits" situation right before leaving for the experiment. However, she broke up with him.

As soon as the cast got their phones back after leaving Honduras, Dave was bombarded with messages from his sister and friends claiming that Lauren was not faithful to him as she already had a boyfriend.

This is what the couple has been struggling with since episode 8, as Dave feels that he can not possibly move past this while Lauren says that she has over-explained herself trying to save the relationship from breaking apart.

Love is Blind fans are completely on Lauren's side and criticizing Dave over the reasons that he has been trying to give her. They ask him to "man up" and break up with her by simply stating that he is "not attracted" anymore instead of being hung up over a guy who was in her past. A fan on Twitter wrote,

"Dave f*cking hates her and it’s blatantly obvious, coming up with excuse after excuse to not make it work like bro you’re emotionless and evil get this demon off my screen now!"

"Dave is seriously the worst. Who gives a f*** what she did before the show?? Why are u so obsessed with sex?? Why won’t u stop being so insecure?? Why won’t u stand up for her to ur friends and family?? Like dude…ur a d***. Ur the villain this season. Congrats," expressed another fan.

Hoping that Dave will be confronted during the reunion episode, a Love is Blind fan said,

"If they don’t give Dave the lashings he deserves during the reunion.. yea I will not be tuning into a single love is blind episode ever AGAIN"

"Nick and Vanessa, I know y’all read the comments… if we tune into the reunion and you guys don’t have Dave’s sister come out like she’s on an episode of Maury, we really don’t need y’all to come back for another season of Love is Blind. It’s the least you could do after all that," requested a fan.

Love is Blind couple Dave and Lauren break off their engagement

In episode 11 of Love is Blind Season 8, we see Lauren and Dave talking about their relationship and where it is headed. Dave was visibly furious at her and her father, whom they met off camera. He thinks that Lauren's dad is targeting him and so is she.

Meanwhile, Dave has refused to let Lauren meet with his sister and friends and explain her side, reasoning that they don't just meet "anyone" (this is his fiancé whom he might marry). This makes Lauren think that Dave has been holding back.

Dave always talks about both sides and does not take a solid opinion and says that if he had asked his family to be there, they would be there. Thus, Lauren points out that "he" does not want them to be there and Dave felt attacked once again and raised his voice.

By the end of their segment, the two had decided to break off their engagement, and in a confessional, Dave said that he felt like he had disappointed her. He admits that his pride got the better of him and he couldn't accept the fact that Lauren had been with another man just before meeting him.

As for Lauren, her confessional revealed that she had written a letter explaining her side to Dave's sister when he was going to meet with her, but he didn't deliver it. This made her angry and "emotionally drained" after trying everything to be with him.
