As the couple remains suspicious of each other regarding Rose’s mysterious disappearance, an eerie situation unfolds, with both occasionally lashing out at each another. This becomes especially challenging when Dawn Fletcher (Rose’s daughter) suggests hiring a professional detective to investigate the case. The couple scrambles to come up with a plan to avoid having a professional look into the disappearance.

While Kim spends her time at the B&B in Emmerdale, Rose assumes full authority of the Home Farm. On the other hand, Kim goes to find the dealer who supplied Ruby with the drugs that were used during the spiking of the drink. However, the dealer won't give her the identity of the buyer but hints that Kim isn’t the mastermind. Kim initially has suspicions about Caleb her arch-nemesis but it swiftly shifts towards Ruby.
