Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 2 had fans freaking out over the bombshell ending since the finale aired on September 12, 2024. The hit drama series saw Lily Collins’ character Emily Cooper make some pretty life-altering decisions concerning her career, personal life, and herself. Let’s just say the ending was certainly a new start for everyone.
Season 4 Part 2 picked up with Emily and Gabriel’s relationship taking its curtain call. Additionally, it also sets the tone for her blossoming relationship with her new Italian beau, Marcello. Furthermore, it also saw Emily make a rather bold stride in her career.

Why did Emily and Gabriel break up in Season 4 Part 2 of Emily in Paris?
Emily and Gabriel’s love story took a dramatic twist in the aftermath of Part 1. The former couple were enjoying a vacation in the French Alps before jumping back into work. All was well until they ran into Gabriel’s ex-fiance Camille and her family.
At the time, she was thought to have been pregnant. Caught off-guard Gabriel, decided to let Emily handle the ordeal and left her alone with them to get a handle on things.
Naturally, this irked her, making her incredibly uncomfortable, leading her to voice her concerns to Gabriel. Although Gabriel attempted to smooth things over and tried coaxing Emily into believing it wouldn’t happen again, they ended up having a heated argument.
Emily and Gabriel decide to call it quits on their relationship for good. Shortly after, Emily moved on with Marcello whom she met after a fight with Gabriel when she was battling a life-and-death scenario atop a snowy peak.
Why did Emily make the move to Rome permanent in Season 4 Part 2 of Emily in Paris?
After breaking up with Gabriel in Paris, Emily moved on from him with the Italian hunk. Little did she know that he was the sole inheritor of the Umberto Muratori company - a prominent cashmere clothing production hub. Before this unraveled, Emily was actually on vacation in Rome.
Fast-forward to her boss Sylvie hell-bent on acquiring Marcello’s mother’s company, and urging Emily to use her charms and win her over. It wasn’t that easy because Savior wasn’t the only company eying Marcello’s business.
Along with Emily, came the head of JVMA who also attempted to sway his mother. With business involving a lover once more, she tried convincing Marcello to sell his company to hers instead.
Impressed by the arguments she made, Marcello’s mom arranged for a private meeting with Emily. For this rendezvous, Sylvia, Luc, and Julien each catch a plane ride to assist their dear colleague on this difficult assignment.
Despite banter and strong points made on both sides, Marcello’s mom finally agreed to sell the company to Sylvia and her team on one condition. There had to be a fully functioning office in Rome,- with a team closely doing the groundwork with her.
Without a second thought, Emily earned a promotion with Sylvia making her the Head of the Rome department. This cemented Emily’s move to Rome in Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 2.
Did Emily and Marcello get together in Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 2 finale?
Yes, they did! Emily and Marcello might’ve met under unruly circumstances, but after they pretty much clicked in Paris. Before she made things with Marcello official, the duo had their strifes.
Emily was in the dark about Marcello’s rich heritage and company and he was unsure about her intentions. After several back-and-forths about the thought of a relationship, especially with Gabriel hinting at wanting to get back together with Emily, it was Marcello who won her heart.
The two shared a steamy yet wholesome kiss in the finale.
What happened to Gabriel and Camille after his breakup with Emily in Season 4 Part 2 of Emily in Paris?
Gabriel was under the impression that Camille was pregnant with his child and hence still cared for her. He was incredibly kind and even put her needs before Emily’s in the second part of Season 4. However, his hopes came crashing down after she revealed that she was not pregnant.
Although she had high hopes of reuniting with him and helping him move on from Emily, even considering adopting a child, he shuts them all down. With Gabriel entirely focused on obtaining his Michelin star and Camille ashen about not having him, they too parted ways for good.
Did Mindy get her Eurovision dream in Season 4 Part 2 of Emily in Paris?
Mindly wasn’t able to realize her Eurovision dream in Season 4 Part 2 of Emily in Paris. Despite her persistent efforts to gather sufficient funds for her dream, her hopes were quashed after her boyfriend Nico berated the gig she decided to pursue at a “topless cabaret bar".
Concerned about his reputation, he asked her to quit and hurled some pretty venomous words at her.
Naturally, she dumped him hard - a sight to see! As an act of revenge, Nico stole a song Mindy composed for Eurovision and used it for an advertisement in his company. This ended up in her disqualification, breaking her heart. She ended up heading to Rome to keep Emily company.
Using her pain for glory, Mindy delivered a teary performance singing, “Beautiful Ruins,” winning the hearts of onlookers which turned her into an internet sensation. She may not have had Eurovision, but she won so much more!
Will there be a Season 5 of Emily in Paris?
While there’s no official word confirming a Season 5 of Emily in Paris, there is plenty of potential for a return. With Emily permanently in Rome (for now), Gabriel wanting to win Emily back, Mindy getting a total restart, Marcello in love with Emily, and so many more storylines left to explore!
There is a high probability of a renewal. However, since the new season just concluded, it’ll be a while until solid information drops.
