"You know I just, I just simply cruise through the day knowing bad stuff is gonna happen and great stuff is gonna happen and it happens every single day and you kind of want to understand that it's the ebb and flow of how it all works."
Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary shares about his mindset
Starting the video with his struggles of being an investor in a lot of companies, Shark Tank's Kevin shared that there is always something happening. There is bad and then there is good as well.
The key to getting through it all is to be patient and wait for life to change. It is because time will never stay the same however much we want it to. There is a balance between both of those things. Kevin shared,
"The world is only gonna end once. And if you're still awake the next morning, then something good can happen. Every single day in my life, every single day, I've got over 50 companies that I'm an investor in.
He continued,
I get a phone call in the morning or some time where it is a total catastrophe, they're being sued or something catastrophic has happened and then an hour later I get a call from somebody else saying oh we just got a take out offer at 14 times the EBITDA."
Shark Tank's Kevin shared that this is his everyday life and he did not understand the highs and lows of it when he was 25. It took him a long time to get a hang of it and when it did, it changed his entire perspective on life. Kevin shared,
"You have to sign off on this. You want to sell? And I'm thinking to myself, the only thing you have to do between utter depression and euphoria is simply wait. Because something else is gonna happen. And so, I live my life with a new attitude now."
He then talked about how nothing would stop him from opening a business. He is passionate about it; wherever he goes, it will be his goal. Kevin expressed,
"And it takes years to figure that out. I wish I understood that piece of harmony when I was 25. You get better with time because you don't let anything slow you down. In the end, you're dead. That's the only thing that's going to slow me down and wherever I'm going, I'm gonna start a business."
Shark Tank fans support Kevin's opinion
Shark Tank fans then commented on the video sharing their struggles and experiences and appreciating the advice given by Kevin. One user wrote,
"I’m 22, and every time someone comes to me with a fatalistic view towards life, I always share similar advice. Good things come to those who wait. No one is ever riding high all of the time, life is full of ups and downs. If you’re down now, you’ll be up later just be patient!"
"Even in the afterlife this man is going to start a business, that's dedication to the craft."
Shark Tank can be streamed online on ABC Network.
