As previously mentioned, the first season has left room for the series to continue as it ended with major cliffhangers. Here's what we can to happen in Dune: Prophecy Season 2:

Arrakis Focus: This desert planet is central to the Dune universe where Valya Harkonnen, Princess Ynez, and Kieran Atreides have escaped. Valya's plans to confront hidden enemies and uncover the true source of the threats are expected to drive the plot in Season 2.

Weakened Sisterhood: Following the return of Reverend Mother Dorotea through her granddaughter Lila's body, more conflicts might arise as the Sisterhood is now divided between the ones who support Valya's idea to use artificial intelligence for power, and the one who stand with Dorotea's vision to promote growth and guidance.

Tula and Desmond's tragic conflict: Another major plot point that remains unresolved in Season 1 is Tula and her son Desmond's conflict. His journey and the manipulation endured could play a big role in advancing the narrative.

Power Struggles in the Imperium: Now that Emperor Javicco Corrino is dead, a power vacuum has emerged. Desmond Hart and Empress Natalya will likely play a big role, not only in the political landscape but also in shaping the future of the Sisterhood and the Great Houses.

Dune: Prophecy Season 1 - Recap

From shocking revelations to character deaths, Dune: Prophecy Season 1 finale was nothing less than a high-stakes sci-fi epic. The series focuses on the origins of the Bene Gesserit Sisterhood and its two most important figures Tula and Valya Harkonnen.

Season 1 revealed how Valya Harkonnen deceived the daughter of Mother Superior Raquella Berto-Anirul and caused her death to take control of the Sisterhood. After becoming the head of the Sisterhood, Valya focused on teaching the sisters to gain control and promoted the utilization of technology to gain power.

However, this isn't the only big reveal in Season 1 as it also disclosed Desmond Hart's connection to the Sisterhood. Turns out that Desmond is the son of Tula, who was abandoned at an early age.

He has terrifying powers inside him which originates from the thinking machine implanted in him. The revelation explains Desmond's destructive nature as he was not always a violent individual. By the end of Season 1, Desmond has his mother— Tula Harkonnen arrested, leaving their conflict unresolved.
