TLC's 90 Day Fiancé Season 11 aired its latest episode on February 23, 2024. The second episode featured Sarper, 45, from Istanbul, Turkey, and his connection, Shekinah, 43, from Los Angeles, California.

As Sarper got his K-1 visa approval, they went to his parents to break the news. However, he was worried about how his family would react to the news. When he shared the news, his mother asked how long he would stay there.

"It's open-ended, I don't know when I'll return. We have to decide in 90 days. We either get married and I stay or we don't get married and I come back," he replied.

90 Day Fiancé Season 11 Episode 1: Sarper reveals his K-1 Visa approval news to his family members

As Sarper and Shekinah prepared to leave for his parent's house, Sarper stated he got his K-1 approval, and now his family's approval was required. He told Shekinah to let him do the "talking" with his family.

Seeing how he was stressed, Shekinah told him that she was also stressed. However, he disagreed. The male cast member told her that she had the "victory."

He told Shekinah that he tried to convince her to stay in Turkey for two years, but she disagreed. Listening to him, the female cast member expressed her concerns:

"But I just am worried that maybe your family's reaction is so bad that you decide you don't want to come. Is that a possibility?"

Sarper responded that his parents were over "seventy" and had health issues. He stated that it was the "biggest concern" for him.

Upon reaching his parent's house, the 90 Day Fiancé male cast member confessed to the cameras:

"Maybe it's a cultural difference, but one part of my soul thinks that this is a thing that you have to celebrate. The other part is I'm leaving my life, everything, especially my parents, my family behind."

The couple met Sarper's parents, cousin Fusun, and others. After greeting each other, they all sat down.

"I have something to tell you. The reason we went to Ankara…You know already that we applied for the K-1. I didn’t tell you, but…I went to the appointment for that," revealed Sarper.

His cousin said she guessed that but thought he wouldn't hide something like that. Sarper told her that he wanted the approval first. When his mother asked when he would leave, he said, "Very soon." He added that he didn't know when he would return.

The male cast member stated that they had 90 days to decide whether to get married or not.

"Now they know why we were in Ankara, and I see faces dropping. I feel really bad. Like, I almost feel like I can't look at anybody in the face. Like, I'm the bad guy here," confessed Shekinah.

To assure his parents, 90 Day Fiancé star stated that he was not planning on renting his apartment or selling his car. He referred to the situation as putting things on "pause." When his father asked how they would be able to visit Sarper for their wedding, the 90 Day Fiancé star replied:

"You won't be able to come... No. Unfortunately, you won't be able to be at the wedding, if we do have a wedding."

The conversation between Sarper and his family members continued further, as it was not usual.
