Peacemaker Season 1 concluded on February 17, 2022 and after a wait of more than three years, season 2 will be premiering in August 2025, much to the delight of the fans.
Season 1 finale showed the fate of all the characters, including Adrian Chase, who is also known as Vigilante (Freddie Stroma). It was shown that despite suffering major injuries, Vigilante survived.
He was shown to be taken to the hospital to take care of his injuries and he escaped promptly at the first chance that he got. Let us now explore in detail the character of Vigilante and what happened to him in Peacemaker Season 1.
Who is Vigilante in Peacemaker Season 1?
Played by Freddie Stroma, Vigilante happens to be Peacemaker’s best friend, but only after Eagly. There is an unhinged quality about Vigilante when it comes to blowing things up or shooting bad guys or simply creating mayhem and so, he had to face some serious withdrawal symptoms during the time Peacemaker (played by John Cena) was locked in Belle Reve.
However, after Peacemaker is back, they decide to make up for the time they lost. Despite having a sense of humor, Vigilante seems to be lacking in terms of real human emotions.
Despite being hell bent on not revealing his secret identity, it is known that he works at the Fennel Fields Mediterranean restaurant as a busboy.

What happens to Vigilante in Peacemaker Season 1?
Vigilante is introduced in the very first episode of Peacemaker Season 1. The first episode shows Vigilante celebrating the return of Peacemaker. As Peacemaker and Vigilante catch up after the former spending four years in jail, he informs Vigilante that he is a contract killer for the government.
Vigilante then talks about their crime-fighting profession with Peacemaker and tells him that they should not be feeling bad about killing people as they are natural born killers. After this discussion, the duo decides that they should blow off some steam by shooting random household objects and drink and smoke weed.
Season 1 majorly focuses on a butterfly invasion where Peacemaker and his team successfully fight off alien butterflies. However, in the process, some team members, including Vigilante, get severely hurt.
The team has to detonate some sonic booms from one of Peacemaker’s helmets in order to destabilize the barn and caverns that house the precious cow, a kaiju-sized alien slug. However, both Vigilante and Harcourt are shot in the process and seem like they would die as Peacemaker makes his way underground.

Does Vigilante die in Peacemaker Season 1?
Fortunately, both Harcourt and Vigilante survive. After the team regroups above ground and takes care of the whole situation, these two are taken to the hospital to get the medical attention they need.
However, Vigilante passed out from too much blood loss before he could be taken to the hospital and though everyone survives, Vigilante escapes through the hospital window once he gets the chance.

Who plays Vigilante in Peacemaker Season 1?
British actor and model Freddie Stroma plays Vigilante in Peacemaker Season 1. The actor is best known for his role as the character Cormac McLaggen, in the Harry Potter movies.
It has also been confirmed that Stroma will be returning as Vigilante in Peacemaker Season 2 and continue his antics.
