Severance Season 2 is packed with surprises, and Episode 6 has sparked a big question among fans: is Helly pregnant? The show hasn't made it clear yet, but there are hints that suggest a baby could be on the way. This would fit right in with the show's pattern of dropping clues and building stories.

This theory came from a scene in Episode 4, "Woe’s Hollow." In the episode, Helena pretended to be Helly and slept with Mark. This situation has already complicated things between them, but if Helena is pregnant, it'll get even messier.

Episode 6 adds more to the mystery. Mark's work and personal lives with Helly/Helena are tangled up now. This makes fans think that a pregnancy storyline is a real possibility. It's consistent with how the show has been hinting at things and setting up future plot twists.

Here are the strongest pieces of evidence for the pregnancy theory!

Severance Season 2 opening credits foreshadow a possible Kier Eagan-like pregnancy

Severance is known for using its opening credits to foreshadow important storylines. For instance, in Season 1, the black goo represented the shattered recollections of Irving’s outie's artwork. In the Season 2 opening, we see Mark in bed with suited babies around him, and one looks like Kier Eagan.

This has sparked fan speculation that Helena might be pregnant with Mark’s baby. The closing credits image of a Kier-headed baby crawling through the snow could also relate to Helena’s potential pregnancy, suggesting it might be part of Lumon’s broader scheme. The significance of "Woe’s Hollow," the location where Mark and Helena were intimate, might be that she conceived there without realizing its connection to Lumon’s cult-like beliefs.

Episode 5 introduced another hint: Helena visited Lumon’s medical staff following her near-fatal incident. This encounter could have allowed them to detect a pregnancy, thus complicating her situation and Helly’s. If true, this could be why Season 2 emphasizes Helena’s struggle between her family loyalty and her growing feelings for Mark.

What could Helena's pregnancy mean for Helly and Mark on Severance?

If Helena is pregnant with Mark's child, it would drastically change the relationships between her, Mark, and Lumon. This season, Helena has shown that she's unhappy with being an Eagan, especially after seeing Helly and Mark kiss on tape. Having a baby might be her way to escape Lumon's control and do her own thing as a mom to an employee's baby and potentially form a relationship with Mark; she clearly was flirting with Mark in Severance Season 2 Episode 6, so there's that.

Mark is in a tough spot on Severance too. He just found out his wife, Gemma, isn't dead; she's Ms. Casey. Now, if Helena is having his baby, he's caught between his love for Gemma and being a dad to Helena's child.

Yet, in Episode 6, Helly (back after the Glasgow Block was removed) took off her shoes to grieve that Mark had been intimate with her Outie, but some thought her feet possibly swelling was a telltale pregnancy sign.

In Severance, pregnancy brings up moral and biological issues because of how the severance process works. If it's Mark's baby, it might be the first time an innie and outie have a child together. Lumon could care about this baby.

The company's founder, Mr. Eagan, talked to Helena in a way that made it seem like she was important for their future. Some think that if Helena's baby is related to Kier, it could be like bringing Kier back in a new way, that is, reincarnation. This might make Lumon want to get involved for cult-like reasons.
