Fire Country Season 3 continues to have a will-they-won't-they arc with Bode and Gabriela as the latest season doesn't seem to have come to any resolution with them. Even after Gabriela and Diego's breakup, the former hasn't made up her mind about Bode. The tension continues and fans are left waiting (maybe forever) to know how they will eventually end up (if they do, at all).
Fire Country has paired Bode and Gabriela since the beginning of the show. It seemed highly likely that they would end up together. She was seen risking her life by jumping off a ship just to save him. Bode, on the other hand, is dedicated to her and keeps risking everything, just to be with her. They make a great pair if you look at their chemistry and fans want them to be together. However, that seems to be quite elusive at the moment.
To Be or Not To Be? That's the Question
In Season 2, Gabriela was ready to get married to Diego even when her heart was not in it. She shared a passionate kiss with Bode before her wedding. The wedding eventually did not happen, as Diego learned about the kiss. So, can fans safely conclude that Gabriela is in love with Bode and will end up with him? Not as yet, it seems.
Even with the fandom loving their chemistry, there is no doubt they share a toxic relationship. In Episode 3 of Season 3, Gabriela explicitly tells Bode that she thinks she has an addictive personality and they are bad for each other. They make a great pair, yes. But, the indecisiveness of Gabriela and her going back and forth with her own emotions is jeopardizing the pair's chemistry as well as the show's pace.
For example, Gabriela says, "We keep playing with fire, and we need to stop before we burn our lives down." But, she again reunites with him in the very next episode. They end up going to bed together even though they are not in a relationship. Bode is now out of jail and fans are speculating that the next course for the show could be that the two of them get together, officially. However, that seems quite unlikely to happen now.
A Possible Love Triangle?
Season 3 of Fire Country has some new cast members and one of them has caught everyone's interest. Audrey James, an ex-convict who is seeking a last chance at the Cal Fire Training Program, has already garnered attention from Bode. They didn't start very well but now, they seem to be bonding pretty well, and batting for each other too. Is a new romance probable? Fans think so.
The problem with the Bode - Gabriela relationship trajectory is the lack of clarity. Bode does all the heavy lifting while Gabriela has yet to figure out how she truly feels about him. Gabriela grows more distant each time they come closer because of something or the other. Season 3 ends with Bode looking at Audrey when she gets up on stage to sing at Smokies. Gabriela has rebuffed him (again!) but he is distracted. Later on, we see Captain Casey telling Bode that Gabriela is a distraction for him. Why? Because there's no resolution. And that's what Bode begins to speak to Gabriela about.

Fire Country Season 3 might have another love triangle looming large. But this won't be the first time Bode and Gabriela will have a third person between them. Many characters were introduced only to be killed off or disappear later in the show. So, who knows how long the Audrey thing will last? The only difference would be if Bode makes a decision and lets Gabriela go.
Fans believe that this entire "will-they-won't-they" chase is most likely a plot arc to keep both the characters apart till the end of the series. In all likelihood, as Gabriela mentions, this romantic arc might just be an addiction, a chase, or, something that gives them an adrenaline rush. Will they continue with this chase?
