Since Doctor Odyssey Season 1 premiere, it has followed the concept of standalone episodes, with each episode solely focused on a different medical emergency aboard the cruise ship.

The show maintains continuity through the character's personal lives and follows a new story each week.

But Part 2 will premiere with a two-part episode, titled 'Shark Attack' and 'Shark Attack! Part 2: Orca!'. Part 2 will return with Episode 9 on ABC on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET. Episode 10 will continue the story next week on March 13, 2025.

A new character will join Doctor Odyssey Season 1 Part 2

Audiences were introduced to the enigmatic cast of Doctor Odyssey in Part 1, who will continue their medical escapades, aboard a cruise ship in Part 2.

The cast is headed by actor Joshua Jackson, who plays the character of Dr. Max Bankman, the newly appointed senior doctor, who attends to the medical emergencies on the cruise ship.

He is helped on board by actors Phillipa Soo and Sean Teale, who play the characters of Nurses Avery Morgan and Tristan Silva, respectively. The medical trio solved many medical emergencies in Part 1 and also started a love triangle, that ended on a suspenseful note in Part 1.

Other cast members include Don Johnson as Captain Robert Massey, Marcus Emanuel Mitchell as Spencer, Jacqueline Toboni as Rosie, and Rick Cosnett as Corey.

All these characters will return for Part 2, and will also be joined by actress Adrianne Palicki, who will play the character of Dr. Brooke Lane, a trauma surgeon. She is best known for G.I. Joe: Retaliation, John Wick, and Wonder Woman.

She will get entangled in the already messy love triangle between the lead characters and will also aid the medical team onboard The Odyssey.

What to expect from Doctor Odyssey Season 1 Part 2?

The two-part premiere has already geared fans for Doctor Odyssey Season 1 Part 2, which will see a massive shark attack. While the medical team has dealt with many medical emergencies onboard, the shark attack seems to be the most brutal of them all.

As Captain Robert will try to navigate the ship amidst dangerous waters, the medical team will take care of the injured patients. The length of the event hints that this emergency will be the most difficult for the passengers and the team on the ship.

Relationships will get messier in Part 2 with Dr. Brooke adding to the ongoing layer of drama, as the trailer shows her leaving Max's room in a towel. Avery, already confused about her feelings for Max and Tristan, will have tensions soaring with the new trauma surgeon.

Catch Season 1 Part 2 on March 6, 2025.
