Kevin O'Leary, an investor on Shark Tank, is an avid political follower and often gives his opinions on the current situation in the United States of America.
Recently, Kevin shared a snippet of his interview with Fox News where he discussed Elon Musk. The Tesla owner is soon to reach the White House and talk about the new government spending cuts.
Shark Tank's Kevin was asked by the host about his thoughts on Elon going to "Washington right now with a Hoover." He supported his actions and said that the people were actually "okay" with it.
Continuing with his statement, Kevin expressed how there is a need for Musk to intervene. Supporting his decision, Kevin says that Musk has exceptional "executive skills." He explained,
"I'm okay with it. And I think the American people are okay with it. Everybody knows the dirty little secret about the government. It drips with fat."
Shark Tank Investor Kevin O'Leary shares his thoughts on Elon Musk's initiative
Elon Musk is reportedly heading to the White House. Shark Tank's Kevin O'Leary supports his decision, which has come after the government released information about their spending cuts. Talking about how no one has ever done this before, Kevin says,
"No one's ever done an exercise like this. I thought he'd get a lot more pushback from Congress and he's not. He's going in there with a spatula, and he's scraping out billions of dollars and people are okay with it."
O'Leary said this because he had expected pushback from the government towards Elon, but that is not the case in America right now.
The Tesla billionaire has found a creative way to reduce government spending and it will only benefit the American economy and people. Shark Tank investor Kevin emphasizes that after all, it is the "taxpayers' money" that is being used, and saving it will only benefit the citizens who are paying those taxes.
Appreciating Elon, Kevin said,
"And after all, it's taxpayers' money. Why not do this? If you sit around your kitchen table, you've got to have a budget every year. Why can't we apply the same kind of philosophy to Government?"
Kevin continues by saying that even if Elon is a "controversial" person in the political arena, there is no backlash towards him in this decision because everyone understands that this is a good one.
He talked about the entrepreneur's success in industries such as automobile and social media, and now he is dipping his hands in the political landscape. Elon should be appreciated for his skills and the reforms he might bring to the government. Shark Tank's Kevin says,
"And that's why he is getting a lot of latitude and a lot of slack, even though he's a controversial guy. Look at the execution skills he has. There's nobody like him. Let him do his thing."
The Shark Tank investor pointed out that Elon's efforts were supported by the citizens as well. He had talked about people who sit at the "kitchen table" and decide on a budget every year. This is the same approach that should be applied by the government to shape their spending and budget for the country.
New episodes of Shark Tank season 16 are released weekly on ABC. They drop out at 8 PM on Fridays. Later, they can be streamed online via Hulu.
