"Didn't want to continue the relationship": Dubai Bling star Danya reflects on her husband's letter

Netflix's Dubai Bling released its latest season on January 8, 2025. Among the cast members is a couple, DJ Bliss and Danya.

Dubai Bling Season 3 Episode 5 featured DJ Bliss going to Kenya on a retreat. Before leaving, he wrote a letter to his wife, Danya. She went to see him off at the airport, where he handed her the letter. He requested his wife to read the letter once he left for his flight.

While reading the letter, Danya learned about how her husband went through things the past year, and he wanted to give up on their relationship. She told the cameras:

"I never thought that he ever had these thoughts, that he didn't want to continue the relationship. So, to read that, it was a huge wake-up call for me. When he comes back, I'm going to sit down with him and talk to him about the letter. I'm not going to take it for granted."

Dubai Bling Season 3: DJ Bliss leaves for Kenya while Danya gets a letter from him

The fifth episode of Dubai Bling Season 3 featured Marwan, aka DJ Bliss, leaving for a retreat in Kenya. He was going there for a week, as he described:

"I'm going to Kenya for my spiritual meditation retreat. And Danya is coming with me to the airport. And I want her to come because I just need to open up my heart and say everything that's on my mind. And that's why I wrote her a letter."

At the airport, DJ Bliss asked Danya if she was going to be "okay." She said she would miss him, but she was happy that he was taking some time for himself. When he asked how things between them were, Danya responded:

"I think we're in a better place than last year, but I feel like we have like, a long way to go."

Dubai Bling star DJ Bliss opened up and told his wife that the last year was a "really tough time" for them. He added that he never wanted to be in that "same place." He said that it was "part" of the reason why he was going on the retreat.

He then talked about how they used to write each other letters and gave her a letter that he recently wrote her.

After he left, Danya read it:

"Dearest Danya, we haven't written each other letters or notes in a long time. I thought this would be a good way to tell you things that have been on my mind. As you know last year was a tough year for me, and I kind of felt that you weren't there for me when I needed you the most."

It continued:

"It made me wonder if this relationship was something I wanted to keep going. Then I thought about our beautiful kids, our family, all the time we've been together, and it made me sad and hurt even thinking about that idea. I love you, Danya."

DJ Bliss's letter continued by urging Danya to think and "figure out" what really mattered to her in her life. After reading the letter, she confessed about how she "never thought" that DJ Bliss ever had such thoughts.
