Netflix premiered Love is Blind: Germany on January 3, 2025 and the reality TV series has aired its first four episodes. The show is a social experiment that features singles on the lookout for a romantic connection. The catch is the format of the show needs them to get engaged before meeting in person.

During the first phase, participants go on several blind dates and then determine whom they want to date further before deciding.

One of the cast members, Fabio, found his potential connection with two female participants, Shella and Alberta. When Alberta learned that Fabio was also dating Shella before making his final decision, it didn't sit well with her.

On realizing he was in love with Shella, Fabio ended his connection with Alberta. On the other hand, seeing too much confusion and not wanting to hurt fellow female participant Alberta, Shella broke up with Fabio. She chose to pursue her connection with Pascal.

Love is Blind: Germany — Shella chooses Pascal over Fabio after he ends his connection with Alberta

Love is Blind: Germany aired on January 3, 2025, introducing singles ready to find their romantic match. One of the male participants, Fabio, 34, from Remseck, discovered his connection with two female participants. They were:

  • Shella, 29 from Düsseldorf
  • Alberta, 27 from Essen

While making his final decision on the show, the situation got tense when Alberta and Shella learned Fabio was a mutual connection.

During Love is Blind: Germany Episode 2, Alberta got emotional and confessed:

"It's about Fabio because I know he's also dating Shella. I think that's holding me back a little because I’m scared of getting hurt or rejected if I share things with him."

On a date with Alberta, Fabio revealed his reason why he was "hesitant" about choosing her:

"The only hesitation I have with you, the only thing that makes me a little…makes me think twice, if I'm being honest, is our age difference. I guess it makes me wonder as to whether you're really ready for marriage."

After ending things with Alberta, Fabio had hoped to carry on with Shella on Love is Blind: Germany.

However, Shella decided to pursue Pascal, her other connection in the social experiment, and got engaged to him and not to Fabio. Soon, seeing the situation and the complexities between Alberta, Shella, and Fabio, fans were sharing their views on X.
