Stoni discusses her boutique struggles in episode 7 of W.A.G.s to Riches
Episode 7 of W.A.G.s to Riches kicks starts with Alexis visiting Stoni's boutique to take a look at her collection and assist her in identifying the reasons why the business is in a bind.
While taking her through the entire collection of clothes, bags, shoes, and more, Stoni confesses how she had big dreams for her new venture,
"I started my boutique with the settlement money that I won from my case against 50 Cent. From a kid, like, I knew I wanted to be in fashion." She continues, "I named my boutique Instatique to cater to influencers on Instagram. Having your own business is not easy. People think, like, 'Oh, I'm gonna open a boutique.' 'I'm gonna go to work every day and I'm gonna make money.' No, it doesn't work like that."
After she talks about her ambitions, she also reflects upon some of her mistakes with her business and how it was her impulsive inventory stocking that led her to the position she is in now.
"There are gonna be losses with any business. So my loss was I over-purchased in the beginning. Initially, I purchased about 80,000 to 100,000 dollars worth of inventory without having a customer first."
Later, W.A.G.s to Riches' star also talks about how she wanted to make millions with her business, and in order to achieve that, she got in touch with vendors from across the country and bought expensive pieces with no one to sell them to.
"I had a passionate dream, and I was like, 'I'm gonna make millions.' I'm gonna sell these clothes to all the girls in Miami, and we are gonna look fly.' And yeah, it didn't quite work out like that."
She says as she points out how her big dreams seem to be coming to an end. Alexis also talks to her about how she might be interested in collaborating with her to help her out with her business.
