]While Creature Commandos Season 1 has ended with its seven episodes, fans cannot stop talking about the playful jabs and references. After all, it comes straight from the creative mind of James Gunn, the acclaimed filmmaker and the CEO of the DC Studios.

Gunn has worked on several hit projects in the superhero universe, like the Guardians of the Galaxy film series, with his latest animated TV show being Creature Commandos Season 1. The story kicks off with Amanda Waller selecting a few misfits for a mission that's too dangerous for humans.

While the show centers around the team's high-stakes mission, Gunn didn't shy away from teasing a Marvel character. Yes, that's correct. Creature Commandos playfully mentioned Ghost Rider in Season 1 Episode 7 during a playful exchange of words between Bride and Dr. Phosphorus.

Since Creature Commandos Season 1 ended with Bride taking down the princes after losing Nina, fans have been curious about the show's future. The episode ended with Bride left with only two of her Task Force M members and eventually being awarded with a few newcomers.

Among the old members of the black ops team, aka Task Force M, are Bride, Weasel, G.I. Robot, Dr. Phosphorus, and how can we forget our adorable Nina? While the world sees them as monsters, the misfits weren’t always this way — they had tragic pasts that shaped who they became.

Now that each of them has a reason to fight, Task Force M takes on the mission to assassinate Princess Ilana Rostovic to infiltrate and protect Pokolistan. However, the show isn't just about the mission, as fans can also enjoy the fun and a cheeky nod to a Marvel character.

Right when Frankstein climbs up and calls Bride his love, she shoots him. Looking at her immediate action, Dr. Phosphorus says, "Paramour of yours?" to which Bride replies, "Oh, can it, Ghost Rider.", making a playful jab and comparing Dr. Phosphurus with Ghost Rider.

The mention of a Marvel character in James Gunn's project seems to be the beginning of the cross-universe humor. Since Gunn has rebooted the DCU and is set for his new projects, including the much-anticipated Superman film, fans can expect more playful jabs in his future projects.

Ghost Rider and Dr. Phosphorus are two different characters from the Marvel and DC comics. However, both have a flame-covered skull, which makes their appearance quite similar.

Both Dr. Phosphorus and Ghost Rider can create and control flames, which they often use to attack or distract their enemy. Neither character got their powers in a normal way. While Ghost Rider got possessed by a demon, Dr. Phosphorus was tricked into dangerous radiation.

Their fiery powers and striking looks might confuse fans, but the two have notable differences as well. Ghost Rider's fire emerges from a demon, whereas Dr. Phosphorus's fire is the result of radiation exposure.

As seen in the animated series, Dr. Phosphorus can control his radioactive abilities. However, when it comes to Ghost Rider, he often struggles to have control due to the demon inside him.
