Netflix’s latest docuseries, Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey, has once again opened speculations and theories about the murder of 6-year-old JonBenét Ramsey in her house on December 26, 1996.

This horrifying incident left the people and the media in a frenzy as beauty pageant Ramsey's daughter was found brutally murdered and her skull fractured in the basement of her own house.

After many theories that pointed towards a weird 911 call done by Patsy Ramsey ( JonBenét's mother) and the suspicious ransom note demanding $118,000, her mother Patsy, father John, and nine-year-old brother Burke were the main suspects in their daughter's murder.

While the family was officially exempted from all the suspicions in 2008, Jon's brother's disappearance in Netflix's docuseries is spreading speculations if Burke killed his sister. While no evidence supports this theory, people are revisiting this cold case directed by Joe Berlinger.

Filmmaker Joe Berlinger is revisiting Jon's cold case after almost three decades and her brother's absence is circulating the speculations that Burke killed his sister.

After being under police suspicion of their daughter's murder, the Ramseys were finally cleared in 2008 when a new DNA sample was found on Jon. While Burke was never a suspect in 1999 because of how young he was, theorists claimed that the child should not be ruled from the list of suspects.

The only time Burke has publicly made a statement about her sister's death was in 2016 on the Dr. Phil show hosted by Phil McGraw. He acknowledged the suspicions regarding his family and denied all the accusations that linked them to Jon's murder. He also suspected that Jon was killed by a pedophile.

However, Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey has re-opened these accusations, especially because of a CBS special, "The Case of: JonBenét Ramsey'' released in September 2016 (a few months after Burke's appearance with Phil).

The special featured a group of FBI agents and forensic scientists who re-examined the evidence and theorized that Burke killed his sister accidentally by striking her head on the table when she took a piece of pineapple from her bowl. The ransom note was his parent's way to save their son.

Burke sued the network, hosts, and the makers for $750 million.

After speculations regarding whether Burke killed his sister were floating, Berlinger said that he did not want to be a part of the docuseries,

'we didn't want to pressure Burke and he didn't want to talk to us, and he just didn't want to participate. So we respected that''.

According to public records, Burke now lives in Michigan and works as a software engineer.

After his interview with Burke, Phil told in an interview that,

"He's a very private individual, but he has a great career and has a good relationship with his father,"

While Jon's real brother did not appear on Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey, John Ramsey and Burke's half-brother John Andrew Ramsey participated in the docuseries and neglected all allegations against Burke.
