A new trailer for the prequel series has finally come out and has gained notable views on YouTube. The trailer opens with a glimpse into Michael C. Hall's older version of Dexter narrating his story of transforming into a serial killer with a strict moral code. A code that he learned from his adoptive father—only kill the bad guys who escaped justice.

While Patrick Gibson has helmed the main role, viewers will also hear Hall's voice as he narrates his early life in the prequel. As seen in the trailer, Dexter's journey will begin right when he joins a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department, and tries to remain undetected from law enforcement.

While talking about the upcoming sequel to Dexter: New Blood, Hall shared in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that:

"The scripts they've executed are fantastic. I can't wait, like as a fan, to watch it, and as an actor, to spend time seeing real footage of things that I've sort of tried to imagine for myself..."

Hall mentioned being both a fan and an actor in the upcoming show, and like fans, he's also excited for the sequel. The series will add depth to Dexter's story, making it enjoyable and easier to understand. Not only this, but Hall also hinted at potential future projects in the Dexter universe.
