Dexter: Original Sin takes place fifteen years before the original Dexter which premiered for the first time back in 2006. The fourth episode of Dexter: Original Sin premiered on Friday, December 27, and was titled Fender Bender. The latest episode of Dexter: Original Sin served as a midpoint through the show and significantly raised the stakes across all possible storylines.

On the latest episode of Dexter: Original Sin, Jimmy Powell's body was found hanging from an overpass. The Miami Metro wasn't able to put the finger on the killer's identity, with the assailant still at large.

On the other hand, after being sickened by the sight of a dead child in Jimmy Powell, Harry Morgan assigned Dexter to another case which led to him giving the first of his blood splatter presentations. All he had at his disposal were some ketchup and two cantaloupes.

The mob hitman known as the Mad Dog entered Dexter's radar as the latter sought to bring him to justice by killing him without any mercy. However, in a surprising turn of events, Mad Dog escaped from Dexter's grasp and was run over by a car. Finally, a flashback revealed that Harry Morgan and Laura Moser were engaged in an affair before her death, with Harry cheating on his wife Doris.

Dexter: Original Sin flashback revealed the affair between Harry Morgan and Laura Moser

Although Dexter: Original Sin is situated in Miami in the early '90s, it makes frequent detours in the form of flashbacks to bring to light the past relationships that have since then gone on to play significant roles in the ensuing narrative.

The most recent episode of the prequel revealed that while working in Narcotics in the past, Harry Morgan was attached to Laura Moser. One day as Laura Moser, while working undercover for Harry, was about to leave for a rendezvous with a high-ranking member of the Estrada cartel, she learned to her dismay that her babysitter had canceled on her.

Harry then came to Laura's rescue when he offered to babysit Dexter and Brian for her. The babysitting session proved to be remarkably telling as at one point Brian is seen removing the tails from lizards. This might be a foreshadowing of his future psychopath tendencies. At one point, Dexter runs off to save the lizards. Harry had a blast from the past moment upon not finding Dexter and it brought back memories of losing his own son Junior Morgan.

Eventually, Dexter and Brian had a funeral for the dead lizards before Harry put them to bed. Upon Laura's return, Harry gave in to her suggestion of staying for a little longer. As one thing led to another, Harry ended up passionately kissing Laura, revealing that the two had a tragic affair before she met her violent death.

The Mad Dog's fate on Dexter: Original Sin episode 4

Joe Pantoliano is a hitman working for the mob who goes by the alias Mad Dog. Dexter wants to bring Mad Dog to justice and seeks Harry's approval to kill him. Upon discovering undeniable proof that Pantoliano is on the trail of his next victim, a RICO witness called Omar Reyes, Dexter bashed Mad Dog with a guitar.

He then proceeded to meticulously arrange for the killing, except that Mad Dog came to consciousness and after a brawl with Dexter, escaped the scene. While running down the road, he was hit by a car and the episode didn't make it clear whether he survived or not.
