"Deeply disrespectful" - Celebrity Big Brother star Mickey Rourke files lawsuit over controversial exit

Mickey Rourke was removed from Celebrity Big Brother UK over his controversial opinions about housemate JoJo Siwa's s*xuality.

However, after his exit from the house, his manager revealed how Mickey feels disrespected by the creators of the show and how they have "publicly embarrassed him." They even stated that the show has not paid him the full amount that they had agreed upon before.

The wrestler's manager said that when Mickey was cast for Celebrity Big Brother, the creators knew that he was known for his "Hollywood rebel image" and how his presence was going to be "explosive, controversial, and attention-grabbing," which is exactly what they got.

The managers claimed that the show knew what they were signing up for because Mickey had a well-established persona, and he delivered them the same. Since the show has aired, Hines suggested that they have "promoted his provocative personality." A statement said,

"In our discussions, Big Brother was made fully aware of Mickey Rourke’s background and lifestyle. Yet rather than handle it professionally, they took it too far — publicly embarrassing him and using his removal as a marketing tool."

She added,

"That’s not just unprofessional; it’s deeply disrespectful and damaging. To add insult to injury, Big Brother is now refusing to pay Mickey his full agreed-upon fee. His legal team is currently pursuing the matter."

In the same public statement that is released by Hines, the manager, she stated that the show has disrespected the "legacy" that is left behind by Mickey Rourke during his long career in Hollywood and wrestling.

Shedding light on the matter, a spokesperson from Celebrity Big Brother cleared the air about Mickey Rourke's exit. They told People that the star had agreed to leave the show.

This agreement was based on a mutual decision, and the step taken was necessary given his "use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour."

On Celebrity Big Brother, Mickey has continuously called out JoJo for her s*xual inclination and her relationship with a nonbinary person.

This was not okay with the show's management, as the viewers were reacting negatively towards the comments and wanted the wrestler out of the house for attacking JoJo verbally for no reason at all.
