The new Dateline podcast offers Deadly Mirage: The murder case of Rob Limon
NBC's Dateline has come up with another must-listen podcast titled Deadly Mirage. As explained in the trailer, the Limons seemed to have been living in an "American dream neighborhood" of almost 30 residents who enjoyed parties.
One of the notable details shared by Josh Mankiewicz, a well-known journalist and correspondent for Dateline NBC during The Mark Thompson Show is that Rob and Sabrina Limon were in an open marriage. This allowed them to pursue sexual relationships with others, including the neighbors as they describe themselves as a "Wolf Pack".
One of the members of of wolf pack is heard saying in the trailer that his wife and the Limon couple used to have sexual interactions. However, it was the couple's decision and they were happy until it was just between the close friends.

However, one day, a young firefighter named Jonathan Hearn once crashed the wolf pack's party, and this is when the real story begins. As explained by Mankiewicz, Sabrina and Jonathan got into a secret relationship.
Rob eventually found out about the affair through intimate messages from Jonathan on Sabrina's phone and asked her to stop seeing the young man. However, Sabrina didn't care much about Rob and continued her relationship.
On August 17, 2014, Rob Limon was shot dead while working at the BNSF railyard in Tehachapi. Initially, it looked like a failed robbery, but later the detectives were informed about Jonathan's storage voicemail and he quickly became a suspect.
Jonathan and Sabrina's phone calls, recorded through wiretaps revealed they had conversations about religion and faith in Christianity. However, the investigators found no proof of the murder plot. So, they tricked Sabrina about the case and she immediately called Jonathan on a burner phone, raising suspicion.

Sabrina Limon and her boyfriend Jonathan Hearn arrested after Rob Limon's murder
Following the investigation, Jonathan Hearn and Sabrina Limon were both arrested on November 18, 2014. Detectives found items at Hearn's house that matched the description of the motorcyclist who killed Rob Limon.
However, Sabrina Limon was released due to insufficient evidence. During their trial, Hearn confessed to killing Rob Limon and revealed that Sabrina was involved in the murder plot. He asked Sabrina to divorce Limon, but she dismissed his suggestion.
Not only this, but the two initially planned to poison Rob Limon but they failed. Jonathan Hearn also revealed that Sabrina provided him with all the details about Rob Limon's workplace, which ultimately helped him kill the man.
Following Jonathan's confession, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison, followed by Sabrina being charged with multiple crimes including first-degree murder, conspiracy, and more in 2018. She appealed for a retrial but was rejected by the California Supreme Court.
