In less than 24 hours, we'll finally get to see the first two episodes of Daredevil: Born Again. Based on what has been shared by select members of the press, the two-episode premiere will blow the minds of the viewers, and it will also include a supposed heart-breaking moment. While details about the series are not entirely known, we do know that Jon Bernthal is returning as The Punisher in Born Again.

Bernthal made his debut as the killing machine Frank Castle in 2016's Daredevil Season 2. In that season, Castle begins as an opponent to Daredevil, goes on to become a client of Matt Murdock, and ends it as a temporary ally of The Man Without Fear in his fight against The Hand. After his appearance in the second season of Daredevil, Castle went on to headline two seasons on Netflix.

The latest officially released Daredevil: Born Again clip features a Frank Castle monologue. His monologue is probably expanded upon from the small moment in the official trailer we saw back in January. However, the latest clip also has fans wondering about Castle's role in Born Again and whether he and Daredevil would team up in the series.

Could The Man Without Fear and The Punisher team up in Daredevil: Born Again?

While we don't know whether they'll team up in Daredevil: Born Again yet, given their past, it is highly unlikely that Matt will willingly team up with Frank. Matt, through his Daredevil persona, will beat criminals to a pulp but will ensure that they are breathing, giving them a second chance to start over with an honest life. However, Frank's vigilantism is on the opposite end of the spectrum from Matt's.

Frank believes that Daredevil's method of beating up the bad guys but allowing them to live only gives them a chance to commit crimes again. He believes that the entire justice system is fundamentally broken and that, therefore, the only way to fight crime is to execute the criminals. Thus, given this major clash of views, even if The Punisher and Daredevil were to team up, it would be temporary.

However, the clip above makes it clear that the tragic event that was teased by Charlie Cox in the extratv.com interview forces Matt to pay a visit to Frank. In their interaction, Castle may say something that displeases Matt to slap Frank, and the latter returns a hit. But the context of that scene is not yet known.

What will Daredevil: Born Again be about?

Born Again is a revival of the beloved Netflix series. It brings back the cast and characters from the original series. Years have passed since Matt and Fisk fought back in the season 3 finale, "A New Napkin." However, the world has changed, and it has become vulnerable enough to vote Fisk (who claims to have given up his Kingpin ways) as the new Mayor of New York.

A new threat in the form of Muse arises in New York. This may force Matt to wear the costume again and stop this psychotic killer.

Find out whether we get a Daredevil and Punisher team-up in the new series by watching Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+ from March 4, 2025.
