Daredevil: Born Again has already dropped seven of its episodes. And the latest one seriously packed a punch. Things are heating up now in Hell’s Kitchen. And with just two episodes left, it feels like everything’s about to explode.

Mayor Fisk is slowly peeling off his facade and revealing the ruthless side we all knew he had underneath. He’s officially formed an anti-vigilante task force, and their first target is Muse.

Also our doubts were spot on. Muse turns out to be Bastian. He is the same guy who showed up at Dr. Heather Glenn’s book signing event. In the latest episode we saw him walk into her office like any other patient. But of course things take a dark and bloody turn. Thankfully, Daredevil swoops in to save the day.

Now we’re officially heading into the home stretch. Episodes 8 and 9 are just around the corner. And there are still so many loose ends to tie up. Multiple subplots are running in parallel. And it’s all building up to an explosive finale.

So let's explore what we can expect from the last two episodes of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1.

Daredevil: Born Again - Major expectations from Episodes 8 and 9

Daredevil: Born Again kicked off with a heavy heart. Foggy Nelson's death hit hard. It left a void in Matt Murdock’s life. Karen Page decided to move on soon after. White Tiger fell victim to a brutal murder. And Bullseye currently sits behind bars.

We also saw the emergence of a new villain as Wilson Fisk rose to power, becoming the mayor of New York. But his becoming the mayor made him walk away from his Kingpin role, and that brewed gang wars because now there was no one around to keep a check.

One of the most anticipated and emotionally charged moments was the reunion of Daredevil and Punisher. Matt Murdock finally came face to face with Frank Castle in Daredevil: Born Again. We get a hint that Frank may be working on something bigger in the scene. Behind him were walls covered in photos. So it is possible that we might see him again.

It is also likely that Frank Castle might find himself in the crosshairs of the anti-vigilante task force targeting all street heroes. And even if he doesn’t, he might return to clear his image as the corrupt cops are seen using his symbol to justify their wrongdoings.

Meanwhile, Vanessa tried to have her husband killed. It seems likely Vanessa will make a move to seize control of the criminal empire. But Fisk now knows that his wife betrayed her (yet again), so it's going to be tough for her.

While they figure out their marriage, the city might go for a toss without a real leader. And that would make for a perfect breeding ground for gang wars, which we’ve seen before in the comics.

Fisk will likely have to decide whether he wants to return to his Kingpin roots as the criminal underworld starts to implode. It’s going to be a lot harder for our street-level heroes to take him down with legal power now at his disposal.

In the midst of all this, Matt’s secret identity as Daredevil may be exposed to Heather Glenn in Daredevil: Born Again. So she’ll have to decide whether she wants to continue being involved with someone who constantly puts himself in danger or walk away.

Daredevil: Born Again - Could Foggy and Karen return?

If Daredevil: Born Again decides to follow the comics, then the answer might be yes. Foggy fakes his death in the comics. So we could very well see him return in the final episodes.

That twist would not only be a massive emotional moment but could also give Matt the motivation he needs to fully step back into his Daredevil persona. He might even face off against Bullseye if he finds a way to break out of prison, which seems very possible considering how little we’ve seen of him so far.

Karen Page’s return is also possible. There’s unfinished business between her and Matt, so her reappearance would make a lot of sense. Their last conversation didn't have a closure.

So we’ve got gang wars, emotional moments, and the looming question of whether Matt Murdock can save a city that’s falling apart both legally and morally. All we can do now is wait and watch because it looks like the best is yet to come in Daredevil: Born Again.
