Daredevil: Born Again - Matt Murdock’s emotional turmoil and The Punisher's ultimate return
At this point, it’s clear that Matt is being haunted by his past. But no ghost looms larger than the loss of his best friend, Foggy Nelson. Matt feels responsible for his friend's death.
In Daredevil: Born Again Episode 4, Frank Castle (The Punisher) forces Matt to confront this painful truth. He pointed out that he can’t even say Foggy’s name because he is consumed by the guilt of not being able to save him.
That moment hit hard because, deep down, Matt has been throwing himself into legal cases not just to help people but also to avoid this confrontation with reality.
In Daredevil: Born Again Episode 5, we’ll likely see Matt wrestle with this even more. Now that The Punisher has cracked open that wound, there’s no ignoring it. We have already seen him practice on the rooftop. Does this mean he will return to fight crime as the Daredevil once again?
We think it's time for him to don that red suit and become the beacon of hope for the residents of Hell's Kitchen.
As for Frank Castle. he has been in the background for most of the season. But Daredevil: Born Again Episode 4 made it clear that his return was inevitable. The show has been subtly teasing his comeback from the very start. And his iconic skull symbol appearing on a bullet was just the final confirmation.
But the question is, what exactly will push him over the edge? Frank seemed reluctant to jump back into the fight, but if there’s one thing we know about The Punisher, he doesn’t stay on the sidelines for long.
With Muse on the rise and Fisk tightening his grip, Episode 5 could see Frank picking up his guns again. And if he does, things are about to get very messy.
Daredevil: Born Again Episode 5 speculation - The Kingpin is coming back
For the first few episodes of Daredevil: Born Again, Fisk tried to show himself as a changed man. He showed that he was a respectable mayor. But Episode 4 tore open that façade. His patience is running thin. And his past is clawing its way back to the surface.
One of the biggest signs of this was his reaction to Vanessa’s affair. We now know that he has Adam locked away, which means he has not changed at all. He is probably going to make an example out of him.
At first, he tried to convince himself that he could let go. He thought he didn’t need to resort to violence. But Fisk is violence. It’s only a matter of time before he gives in completely and shows his true self to the public.
Daredevil: Born Again Episode 5 could be the moment where we see Kingpin step back into his old ways. If Adam is killed, it’ll be a turning point. Not just for Fisk but for Vanessa, too. Will she stand by him and still feel safe?
Or will she start to realize that being married to Wilson Fisk means never truly being free?
Muse, the new villain

If Episode 4’s ending wasn’t enough to convince you that Muse is one of the darkest villains Daredevil has ever had, Episode 5 will make sure of it. The guy isn’t just killing. He’s creating with his victims.
His hideout is basically an art gallery of horror. And he’s only getting started.
The big question is, what does he really want? His motives are still not known. But one thing is certain, he's not looking for power.
Muse is different, and that makes him even more dangerous. With Matt and Frank both struggling in their own ways, Episode 5 could give us a scene where they are forced to come face to face with this new villain. Or at least we will see more of Muse and his techniques or agenda.
So, to sum it all up, in Episode 5 of Daredevil: Born Again, Matt might slowly come to terms with the fact that he has to step in to save the city from doom. We might see Fisk on the verge of unleashing his full wrath. The Punisher, who is now lurking in the shadows, will be forced to come out and fight.
Muse, amongst all this, might pose a threat to the vigilantes, but with nothing clear as of now, we will have to wait for the next episode to know more about the new villain of Daredevil: Born Again.
